There just has never been a widely recognized constitutional right to open carry. The decision is in line with moderate jurisprudence.

I thought it also covers concealed carry so it's hard to exercise the right if you can only do it in your home.

The problem is the idiots at the 9th Circuit will force the SCOTUS to come up with the clarification of "bare" and with the way the Court is aligned, could backfire bigly on them.

I haven't done the deep dive but I thought that case was in Hawaii and there was some rather novel law juggling going on regarding their pre-(US) history and carrying weapons superseding things. (could be a different thing altogether but I know I'd heard that somewhere recently)

The latest ruling from the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals grants Gun Owners of America (GOA), a preliminary injunction against the ban, affirming the gun group's concerns that the federal ban violated the "Administrative Procedure Act, the Fifth Amendment's takings clause, and the 14th Amendment's right to due process."

... and we wonder what the National Rifle Association will have to say about this ruling after they caved and called for "additional regulations" on "bump fire stocks" in late 2017 following the Las Vegas shooting.

This comes up every time there is a mass shooting in the US. Lots of talk, the House might pass a bill, it will die in the Senate. Repeat next mass shooting. Anybody thinking this time will be any different needs to pass the blunt, they holding it too long.
