I kinda felt dirty giving the post a like I feel sorry for these kids.

But this stupidity lies squarely on the Biden admin for their messaging. And it’s going to be hilarious watching the deflection to Trump on this. Nans was already doing it on the Sunday shows.

Just a couple of thoughts:

The sheriff wouldn't have been a federal employee. Unless the Hatch Act has been expanded, I can't see how it covers a sheriff.

A few articles on voting and changes referenced something like "souls to polls" and why Sunday voting is pushed by dems, and there are also numerous written and TV articles presenting preachers (many black) supporting politicians from the pulpit. Both those actually are violations of tax-exempt status.

Dems are hypocrites.

Writing checks without money in the bank generally doesn't work well for anybody except the government ... even if you can prove you have plenty of printed checks all ready to go. Now if you could just find a way to decouple those checks from some kind of backing ... like lets free the dollar bill from the tyranny of gold or silver or ... A lot of people are wrong on Nixon's big blunder - there were actually two: floating currency and opening the door to China that haunt us to this very day.

The Hatch Act covers local departments receiving federal funds, according to the article.

I'm sure there are many churches preaching preaching right wing stuff and supporting right wing candidates too (even thought we're talking about the Hatch Act).

Republicans are also hypocrites.

It would be interesting to find their backup about the federal funding thing. The best I found was an update (or power grab) signed by obumma in 2012

limited the prohibition on state and local employees running for elective office to employees whose salary is paid completely by federal loans or grants.
