Bama has no big guy, which our fans are clamoring for. They basically play 4 guards and Bruner, who is 225 pounds. They did nothing special with Herb Jones late in the game- isolated him and posted up.

I agree that they are both good coaches, but it will be interesting to see what Oats can do going forward. He has benefitted from having Petty and Jones as seniors. Bama has talent all over the court though, and we went toe to toe with them both times.

We don't have that offensive player who can takeover late in games and take us to victory like we had with Grant. Game on the line, who do we go to? This team has no idea. I've not seen anyone step up and claim that position.

We had season's tickets and went to nearly every home game back in those days. Miserable.
I was there as a student..... went early to the lady vols games so we could have great seats for the guys.... favorite game was when we beat Shaq and LSU..... I remember laughing at Gannon Goodson smacking the floor challenging shaq.

Good thing that there's nothing legal that they can buy that can also do lung damage.
I’m of the belief that as long as you keep it indoors or maybe specific establishments designed for such.... let people put whatever they want to into their bodies.....the war on drugs is a failure.

We will lose second round for sure, maybe even fulfill the inevitable 12 over 5 upset in round 1. We aren’t hot right now and don’t have an alpha. Love ‘em, easy to cheer for, but don’t see any magic.

Well, you're beating the national media to it. You and invol need to get a room together to commiserate in your misery.

I do know you hope you're wrong. Gucc and cat almost definitely hope you are right.

I woke up this morning and had this overwhelming feeling that WGWTFA!

Heupel is bringing us back and these little distractions will not derail this train.

GBO!

P.S. The feeling is not just gas. I know this forum.
Heupel has been all about building unity in the team and trying to get them to do things away from football together...... From the news reports..... it sounds like that has been a resounding success.

They play some really bad ball. Dont have a scorer. That said, they are talented. Anything less than Sweet 16, which i think is completely and absolute possible, is to me below expectation. Hell I expected them to compete for SEC. They're just too inexperienced and dont have pure PG.

Since you're saying there is NO chance, does that mean I get infinite odds?

I'll give you a break and put it at 99:1 odds.

You pay $99 if we make the sweet 16 and I'll pay $1 if we don't. Or we can do more. You pay $9,900 if we make it and I'll pay $100 if we don't.
Not gonna lie... I don’t think I’d put down the $100

Yep, agree. D-B has been so dominant in the state playoffs, especially in football.

They are the king of cupcake schedules who get run.
DB alum here and I've said this for years.. I've always wanted them to go OoC early and play, say a lower level Georgia state champion and get a good taste of what it takes to win championships.. The schedule they play in this area does not prepare them. I played in the late 70s and to the best of my recollection, we played much tougher schedules. Also a game like Cocke County back then was very beneficial. Those boys were the most hard nosed guys we played all year... Win or lose, you woke up Saturday morning knowing you had been in a dog fight. It made you tougher..

The fact that Science Hill has been so terrible at football until recently has really hurt D-B over the years, IMO. Now, Crockett and other teams in the area are getting better. That might actually help them.
