This would do nothing to stop criminals from committing gun violence and would only place more burden on law abiding citizens from exercising their constitutional rights. Right. Law abiding gun owners selling guns to criminals is a non issue. Most of the guys selling guns on armslist only do it in state and require the buyer have a cwp. It’s just crazy they they refuse to tackle the real gun violence issues because then it would be racist.

I haven't gone through everything proposed but I'm not sure I see how true "universal" backgrounds checks could be implemented without it basically requiring a registry.

It can't, just like ACA was designed to fail so they can usher in universal healthcare this is designed to usher in a national registry.
