Just perusing yesterday's posts and I think this could be a very good reason why we lost a bunch of our best players to the transfer portal from the jump. We don't know what the ruling will be for those who were found to have been given inadmissible benefits. Probably ineligible to play at UT this coming year.
Pal just died few months ago. Not sure how much interest there is in expanding.
They have stores in Norton and Wise. To me those are just logical extensions of Kingsport.
I could see Richlands and or Grundy at some point.
Oh yeah, as many kids from East TN that end up at school in Knoxville alone would let it do well.
I HATE that ****ing band...Can't say you weren't warned......
May not be nice, but its true. Never seen two dudes I wanna hit with a 2x4 more in my life.
If a player is ineligible here then they are going to be ineligible elsewhere. Transferring doesn't change that.
Tom Mars covered this a while back:
Coaches don't have any control over who goes into the portal. Once the player is in the portal, any school can contact him that's interested in him. The player can remain in his current school but the coach can restrict his involvement in team activities. In the case of Crouch, I'm sure he has full access to team activities as the staff tries to recruit him again to stay at UT.I need some of you smart fellers to explain something to me. Keep seeing things about players, especially QC, going through spring practice but planning on going into the transfer portal after. And apparently it is not a secret. First, why not transfer before if you're going to so you can be working out with team? Second, why would schools be okay with this? Just hoping they can change their minds? Seems like such a waste of time for everyone involved.
