US Threatens Syria With "Firm And Appropriate Measures" After New Airstrikes

Washington is once again concerned about Syrian government expansion inside... wait for it... Syria.

The United States threatened to take "firm and appropriate measures" against Syrian government forces, claiming repeat "ceasefire violations" and concerned over reports that the Syrian Army may be poised for a new military operation to retake Deraa in the country's south.

What do you expect from a guy that is way more concerned with the rest of the world than the country that elected him?
It seems like this ^^^^ is a prepared narrative from the right, regardless of the circumstances involved. As of right now, this is what the Pentagon has confirmed:

"The U.S. military carried out a single air strike in Syria against a single location used by Iranian backed militias. Multiple facilities at this location were struck during the attack. President Biden authorized the strike in response to three separate rocket attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq."

Can anyone explain what is wrong with this? This is not a case of interventionism. It's a response to military aggression against U.S. forces.

Why not strike the country where the combatants are from?

And why not get our asses out of Iraq so there wouldn’t be a reason to strike back?

As to the first question, it appears they were militia's being supported by Iran. So if location is a sticking point then Biden did strike the ones who carried out the act where they were from.

As to the second question you're not this naive. You know damn well when we go to war with someone we stay in their backyard forever.

Did Biden kill any “austere religious scholars”? 😂

No he did not. The attack did not originate in Syria.

And the previous guy was actually trying to get us out but the new idiot is ratcheting hostilities back up after only a month!

Yeah exactly. Like how we're still in England, Mexico, Spain, Vietnam, Grenada, Italy, The Barbary Coast, Panama, The Phillippines, Every Other Country in the Central Powers (minus Germany), etc.

And the Pentagon yeah they never lie.

... and the faux outrage from the pacifist Trumpets, who think an "America First" foreign policy means we don't respond to rocket attacks against our own forces.
😂

If Biden hadn't, you nerds would cry about how feckless he is and how he hates the military.

It's funny how yall think I'm a Trumper. I don't support trash regardless of which party they happen to belong to.

No one should be surprised at all. Blinken had a serious boner for invading Syria but Obama wouldn't go for it. Slow Joe needs a legacy, what better way to kick start it than to uphold the grand tradition of another crusade?

I don't think you're a Trumper, but I think you think like they do on occasion. Not that it has any bearing to my comment to you in this thread.

The narrative from the right would have been the same regardless of the response. It is what the Legion of Trumpets have been wanting to say since Biden took office. This response appears measured and proportionate.
