Proof of the election fraud

The way you vote perpetuates a system that produces Trump vs Clinton/Biden.
I'm always looking for a viable alternative; in the meantime, I'll just keep making the best choice from among the available choices.

Stop and think about what you just said. You are defending someone that has been in DC for 47 years with little to show for it other than family scandals.
His constituents seem to like him. And he did the whole VP thing for 8 years. I imagine you pick up at least a little valuable knowledge through that experience.

Can you tell me one (1) thing he did as VP under Obama for that 8 year stint. Did he accomplish anything besides wipe his butt in the mornings?
He was VP because he was looked on as a safe pick by Obama. Nobody would have wanted him to be POTUS if anything ever happened to Obama. Everybody knew then he was a dumbass embarrassment for the Democrats.

He didn't embarrass the nation for one.

He's embarrassed the nation several times since he's taken office.
But once again, in comparison, much less so. There was an obvious danger in lowering the bar to Trump levels and attempting to normalize him. Biden is serving to reset the bar a little higher.

Is constituent affection a valid defense of decades-long politicians?

One thing I think people lose sight of is that a vote for Biden or Trump is not just a vote for one person. It's a vote for an entire administration that will dictate which direction the country goes over the next 4 years. With Trump (like him or not), at least the country was headed in the right direction (good trade deals, canceled bad deals (i.e. Paris Accords), peace in the middle east, American workers first, energy independence, etc.). What we have now is a dictator writing EOs like mad that's leading the country in the wrong direction.

Kind of (at least theoretically). That's one I struggle with at times.

How should a politician be judged, and by whom?
Judging the politician likely depends on what you want from politicians. I think Joe Biden is a good. If all of Congress were filled with people like him, absolutely nothing would be done. A great politician dismantles bureaucracy; but we don't have any of those. I suspect your judgement uses different criteria.

If Joe is partly favorable because his constituents like him and keep voting him in, wouldn't the same be true for Mitch McConnell?

Yes the same would be true. So as much as I dislike McConnell and his policies, I have to keep reminding myself that he must be giving his constituents what they are looking for. It's certainly an imperfect system, but I don't know what would be better. There could be plenty of negative consequences with term limits.

LOL

The bar will be so low after Harris/Biden are done a worm couldn't limbo under it.

We just simply disagree hog; and I'm relatively certain neither of us is about to change our mind.

I've always found it ironic how Americans rank Congressional approval/disapproval as abysmal and yet their own Reps and Sens are routinely reelected.
It's delusional to think "everyone is horrible but my people are really good".

I agree. Some politicians are better than others, on both sides. The position that many have that all politicians suck, and that they all somehow suck equally is ridiculous.

Not all politicians suck, 90% or better suck, 100% of the ones in office for 12 years or longer suck and once you reach suck level the degree doesn't really matter.

I think the degree is what matters most.

Understood.
I'm comfortable being ridiculous when it comes to my disdain for politicians.
