Recruiting Forum Football Talk III

HT goes anywhere but Bama and I’ll support him. If he goes to Bama idc if he busts out the NFL. But still. The dude has had more camera time than anyone these last few years and always talking about the team as a family. Well, family doesn’t quit when it gets tough. He wasn’t playing for his brothers. He’s playing for himself. Which is fine honestly. Just don’t go around acting like you are the leader of the team and ‘family.’ Ride or die man. Ride or die.
There may be more to this story than we know. It was said that Pruitt was told by compliance to hold out Gray and HT from the ATM game but Pruitt played HT anyway. I don't think Gray played. I think HT may be in trouble with the NCAA when all is said and done but the investigation could go on for a long time too.

I’ve said this a number of times in the baseball forum and I’ll be brief trying to explain my
Opinion

1) TV is exactly the only kind of coach that can win here. He recruits in a way that treats each recruit as a number and catches and releases like they are fish when the live well is full. But again this is the only way to win when Vandy is on your backyard

2) over signing must be done to protect yourself from the draft. 35 is the roster limit so recruiting to 38-42 players is what must be done to protect yourself from the mookie Betts of the world. BUT it’s when you over recruit to take advantage of the rules to a much higher degree that is a problem. TV will have 50 or more players for each team before he throws fish back out of the live well .

That’s why I can’t support this program
Ok, I can respect that. But, are u not the same guy that says Kent, Walker, Burns, Uros, Gaines, Pember and at one time, Fulk were/are wasted scholarships and UT should push some to transfer ?

I’m the same guy that has said a player gets two years to get into the rotation or they should be gone. I’ve also said I respect Barnes for being loyal to a fault. Uros, pember and kent are the only ones I have mentioned

Also there is a big difference between giving a kid 2 years to make it work and culling a number of commits before school starts and then cutting 10-15 guys a year at Christmas before they even were on the team.

Maybe. Maybe not. Still no excuse to go to Bama. Head to OU with the rest of em for all I care. But if he puts on the Crimson he’s dead to me.

Baseball is my first love and I love college baseball. I just hate the ncaa for allowing it to run the way it is in the recruiting world. And TV is extremely harsh when it comes to how he recruits and I can’t support that.
Definitely a dirty business. Have to do that to compete now.

I guess my only concern is that Martinez will not make his DB's look back for the ball. But if he does that chit again I bet Banks will correct him. And looks like BJM knows a thing or 2 about interceptions.
Good good
😖😖😖 I saw BJM, and my brain read Butch Jones...before I could stop it!

That is so true.....not just baseball but all collegiate sports. The bammers are especially guilty of bending and twisting the rules to suit them, and that forces all of us to do the same or be left in their dust....what the bammers have done to the purity of college athletics is criminal, yet there is no one to hold them accountable the way Fulmer did in the 90s and early 2000s
