the schedule has been no picnic and to have the record they do have against it is pretty remarkable to be honest.
but their issues are real. the pass protection has been an issue in almost every game.
oh, i agree, and i've said it one of these threads already, the reason you hate Ben (as stated above) is the same reason you love him. He's just got to play smarter.I'd say that is 50% O-line 50% Ben. He holds the ball too long, your receivers had trouble getting open many times. I think part of the problem he has in holding the ball so long has a large part to do with his size. He doesn't really fear the pass rush and tries to string it out too long and make something happen. He needs to learn to throw it away when nothing is there.

He did that quite often yesterday. Thats why the ball kept coming out. I don't know if wearing a glove is helping much with that either.I still can't believe Ben lowered his head on the 3 yard line. That is a move you can get away with against teams that play softer defense, not the Titans or any other tough defense for that matter.
The front four is the titans strength. There isn't a better rotation when everyone is healthy. The next time these teams met it will be a four quarter battle again. If they see each other again. Right now i'd say its very likely.ah, ben's a tough guy. he's been doing that his whole career, and keep in mind we do play the Ravesn twice year.........it's not like we've not seen a good defense before....let's see.......here's a smattering of the defenses we've played so far this year (total defense rank):
2. Baltimore
3. Philly
4. Washington
5. Tennessee (we played 3 d's better than TN, and the #2 D twice)
7. NYG
8. Dallas
10. New England
11. INdy
12. Jacksonville
that's 9 of the top 12 (and we're #1) defense we've played this year, and we're the 2 seed. no disrespect to the titans, obviously they're very good, but we've been playing good defenses all year....we didn't, nor will we, see anything that we haven't seen before, from a defensive standpoint.
i think playing the schedule we've played, and being 11-4, division winner, bye week for hte playoffs bodes well in the long run. i've already stated our issues, they are real. but it was a lot to expect us to win all of the following games consecutively:
New England, Dallas, Baltimore, and Tennessee. if you told me at the beginning of the season we'd go 3-1 over that stretch, i'd of taken it and not even asked who the Loss was to.
for all of our faults, we are a battle tested team. we won't see anything in the playoffs we haven't seen before.

OK? i was merely pointing out that we face good defenses with regularity this year. seeing the Titans wasn't anything brand new for us.I guarantee you the Titans defense is better than the Eagles when healthy.. and probably better than the Redskins. Baltimore is the best defense in the league I think regardless of rank.

i think if you really read it i'm discrediting our offense more than anything. i've not said the Titans aren't good on defense. I"m just saying what you saw of the Steeler offense on Sunday is what i've watched this offense do all season.......against MOST of the defenses it's played against.I like how you're discrediting the Titans defense that had Haynesworth and Vanden Bosch out, and had a 3rd string rookie DT from Eastern Michigan record 3 1/2 sacks and 3 forced fumbles.
I would feel VERY confident in a Titans-Steelers rematch at this point.
i know. i've watched just about every defense do that to us this year. That isn't a bad argument, but our backups were all over you guys on Sunday. Rankings tell you nothing about how one team matches up against another.
