This we will never know but either was looks like a bad decision. If Pruitt was calling plays then Ansley was getting paid a million to pretend

NLI is just an intent to get financial assistance from the school to go there. It keeps other schools from pursuing the recruit. After they sign if you get them to agree to walk on you can let them out of there NLI and not be an initial counter. The initial counters are students who receive financial aid before they become part of the team. this is why undergrad transfers become initial counters if they get a scholarship, but if a transfer is a walk-on like the QB we had from Maryland, then they won't count.

Admittedly didn’t know who Rodgers was but if he could bring that production to Tennessee it would arguably be the best we’ve had since Brooks?
