At what point do we shift from AW and move onto another DC? At some point we have to say we need an answer either way, when do we reach that point? I remember reading an article about DW and him giving Kevin Sumlin a timeline to answer and when he didn't he got skipped over..

If Washington turns it down I think Rodgers could be in play...of course that's also assuming he actually is interested.

I appreciate the willingness to take their time though, Heupel isn't just calling everyone and taking the first guy to say yes. He seems very measured, willing to have more than one conversation with the candidates and figure out who is the best fit.

Brice saying that tOSU is telling Washington to stick around another year and you'll get an offer next year from a better program than Tennessee

I could definitely get this point. Our program is in a very tough spot right now and it is going to be a pretty tough challenge. But if he comes in and is part of a solid turnaround his stock for not just DC but HC will be through the roof. So then here’s the options:

1. Stick around at OSU be in a comfy spot at a top 5 program. Possibly get a DC position at a “better” school/situation next year then depending how it turns out be an HC candidate in 3+ years. If this doesn’t turn out he is at least still Co-DC at OSU.

2. Take the UT job. Become a DC in what is seen as a very tough situation. Be a part of a turnaround in a challenging situation and be a high-profile HC candidate in 3 years. If it doesn’t turn out maybe you return to OSU start running it back.

UT is a high risk high reward situation but if he/JH pull it out he will have Charlie Strong/Kirby Smart type demand on the HC market.

My gut tells me Al ain't taking it. Seems like the money is getting rediculous at this point and he another$250K isn't going to move the needle at some point.[/QUOTE
How did he pass the spelling portion of the test he took :):)
There isn’t a spelling component.... he tested highest in his school and reached the top two % nationwide..... he is very intelligent but can’t spell the word cheese. LOL

I don't mean to be obtuse, but what makes you believe that last part?

Based on what Brice is saying about Wash, I want him really bad. He needs to be the guy. Come on DW, get it done!

I just don’t see why DW has the expectations to “get it done”

this is one JH to sell a vision and a job description that makes a DC want to work for him. Its very clear that DW had OKed plenty of $ and a 3 year deal. He shouldn’t be involved anymore than that

This is a good time for us to go for the throat and show we are interested in winning!
