By then (3yrs) we will know if JH is for real or not and we can move on from Steele if we want and get someone else because our program will hopefully be in a different place without any sanctions and moving up.

I have been in on pay and hiring conversations for 3 separate Fortune 50 companies. It is truly infuriating.

There isn't a better program coming after Al Washington next year. There may be a program in a better place, but that should be negated by the fact you're getting a shot in the SEC to be one of the top 10 highest paid DCs in the country to build your own brand from the ground up. Cause one thing he has here is a HC that will allow him to do that.

this is all so stupid... As pathetic of a program as we are right now, truly embarrassing, I don't even want the guy to come here if he is going back and forth for money... If he signs, it is only for more money and not because he wants to be here... I don't want someone wearing the T and running our defense because we were simply the highest bidder, I want him here because he wants to be here to improve our program and our kids...

Basilio is saying candidate 8. That is so dumb. If he really believes that, he is not credible at all. Just think about it, what other names have we heard with this DC hire? We have seen nothing like this with Washington? Now, is it possible that they sent a lot feelers out and had several guys say they aren't interested, that's possible. But they haven't targeted 7 guys like they have Washington and tried to hire them. That's ridiculous. We would've heard that.
