Disagree. Basketball has always been a tournament sport. Lose one on the play ground you run it right back. That’s like regular season ball. End of the season tourneys there’s no do overs and you gotta be playing your best ball. Maybe it’s from growing up playing in so many basketball tourneys, but it feels natural to me. Love the big dance. Love the conference tourneys!

I want to thank Volnation for your prayers and well wishes. Maddie had surgery today. There was more issues that initially thought. She had 2 holes in her heart, her heart was enlarged, extra muscle had to be removed and an artery had to be repaired. She pulled through and her surgeon is optimistic. She will be in the hospital for at least 10 days with tubes and a pacemaker.

On BBQ, I’m not getting the hate on the options here in the mid-state from a couple posters. Yeah, we don’t have a “style” here, but the quality is dang good. In fact, the overall food quality in Nashville has skyrocketed just in the past 10 years to world-class status. BBQ is just one of those that’s taken a leap forward.

Pulled pork with white sauce, brisket with meat candy in spades, dry rub, wet rub, meat ‘n three style, urban style, redneck taco style...you name it, we got it.

Heck, there’s even smoked turkey at Martin’s that’s the best thing on the menu when paired with the white sauce.

Trashing BBQ here is sheer ignorance.

Not hating on Mid-Tenn food. Nashville is loaded with great places to eat.

However, I have found over the years that pulled pork is usually better in more poor rural areas. (like I grew up in.) There are always exceptions of course.

No joke the best BBQ I’ve ever had is from a Gas Station in Big Sandy.
