I don’t think he understands the behemoth he’s subtly mocking. We are rabid. We are starved to death. More than that, we are a loyal bunch that wants to see UT competing for championships. If he delivers on that through his hires, the need to implore fans to “behave” in a manner appeasing to his ego evaporates. His focus should be fundraising and instilling competence across all levels of the UTAD. If he cannot do that, no amount of positivity and Flex Seal™️ will deliver on our expectations, and he will be miming tears in the unemployment line.

Yeah, we're big and bad and so rabid we don't care to chew off our own foot. Hopefully some will actually listen and shut up long enough to give those that have been hired a chance to fix all the problems we have that have been a combination of a bad athletic department, bad coaches, interfering boosters, and loud, obnoxious, demanding fans. We can be part of the solution or continue being part of the problem.

I just wanted to offer some thoughts on the HC and DC hires. While I certainly don't know the specifics of either, from what we've heard there seems to be a pattern. White developed his list of possible coaches, the search firm came up with their own independent list, trusted friends of White provided either a list or possible names, interested candidates indicated their interest, and then White and the search firm compiled a final list. The search firm then began contacting the candidates to gauge their interest to be considered. It's clear that almost all said no. Obviously, the pending NCAA sanctions played a big role. The couple who indicated that they would consider the job were then vetted and asked to submit parameters for them to consider the job. The candidate that slowed the process was Franklin and ultimately saying no was because of his outrageous salary demands. The also affected Elliott. In the end, White turned to the coach in which he had the most trust and confidence.

Now we're seeing the same scenario evolving in the DC hire. As the search firm worked down the list of candidates, most said no for obvious reasons. The exception in this search is that there were a much larger number of coaches who wanted to be considered. I'm guessing that White/ Heupel have completed the initial calls to interested and possible coaches. They have a list of serious candidates. As we know, they are interviewing candidates as we speak. Some will be out of courtesy, some will be backup positions in case the #1 and #2 candidates don't accept or have a vetting problem. I believe they will hire a veteran DC with both NCAA and NFL experience. Likewise, the candidate will already have his staff lined up. That's why the staff announcement will come on Monday, Tuesday or the latest. My gut feeling is that House is the guy. He wants the job, has the required experience, is a good recruiter, and is highly respected. If not him, there is a small list of college coaches who have asked to be considered. Personally, I think that the Jansick interview is just a courtesy. There are bigger fish to fry.

I respect the feelings of both White and Heupel for secrecy in this process. A couple of the contacted coaches leaked their contacts to get a pay raise. But these so called rejections cast a dark cloud on the program. At this point, White and Heupel desperately want to limit the negatives coming from the program. But there's always those who will want to use our misfortune to gain an advantage, whether it's a pay raise or recruiting. But their secrecy has lead to a whole cottage industry on tracking their actions. It's been really funny.

No, I disagree. We are a fanbase that knows how to call a spade a spade. We've earned the right to be loud and obnoxious due to the incompetence of the past 15 years. Put a winning product out there, and we will be loud in a positive way.

I refuse to accept blame for the incompetence of bad administration and rich idiots.

He was supposedly showing up to team events with the lady friend and not trying to hide anything.

Well, how has that worked for us since 2005??? Being loud and obnoxious fix the incompetence of the bad administration and rich idiots? No, we have just kept pulling each other down while the media has broadcast it worldwide so that no one wants to be part of our disfunction.
