If this is truly how it went down then I could see it being more forgivable.

However, changing his story just doesn’t add up to me.

Ultimately here's the thing...everything, and I mean everything I've read alleging Franklin did anything "wrong" comes from the defense team of the ****ing rapists. Seriously, the Franklin contacted the victim stuff, they alleged when attempting to get a misconduct and withhold evidence claim in to dismiss charges.
I'm not a lawyer, don't study law. But when 4 grown men make a choice to do what they did and then point to their HC (who was on vacation in another state when this all happened) as if he was involved in any way that would get them out of their cases...I don't know makes me more upset at the actual criminals.

So Franklin on his own admitted he lied to his players in a team meeting to try and hammer home how serious the situation was, the players were dismissed and barred within a week of the incident. Only one of them didn't get prison time, and he had a plea deal that lead to probation. I feel like everything else alleged against Franklin was by those players and their defense team trying to get out of their punishment.
