As for the 50 Level 1 violations and the perception of the job, I am ok with that perception. This AD and football program have need a "from the ground up" rebuild for over a decade. This included a competent AD who could come in with the people they were comfortable with instead of inheriting the previous guys cronies and then hiring the football coach they see moving this team forward in the manner they see fit.

The way things were being done was not working and the process itself had/has to change and I believe this search is showing that things are changing....no matter who we hire as coach.

it’s time to just trot out whoever our next coach is... each hour this goes is just less and less time to recruit our current players in the portal, keep some form entering the portal, grab other players form the portal, try and recruit the last 2 days. Get a plan together for staffing, get a plan together for spring practice, a S&C program running. We should have done this crap in December yet we are UT and always late to the party. February is closing in and we don’t even have a clue who will coach us in March when practice starts.

Wonder if Plowman was in talks with NCAA in terms of violation punishment --- "hey, if I hire an AD like DW along with cleaning house and hitting the reset button in terms of personnel, in order to get him here to clean up the program, are you guys willing to lessen your penalties since we are already doing our due diligence and being proactive?" If so, then she is able to tell DW he can come and have the assurance that he's not leaving a good situation and jumping into a firepit... JMO....

Have 50 guys come through on big visits or something and a Big Mac has a Benjamin in it. Each an individual violation?

The Dan Patrick story has been blown out of portion. We were not handing out bags with thousands of dollars

I don't know if DW has an Ace of Spades in his hand, or even a King of Spades, but I don't think he's going to play the 6 of Hearts either.

He didn't take this job, for all of this money (that comes with expectations), to play a name from the middle of his list. He's swinging for the fences and then playing his best card he's been carrying for a while.

Depends on what his second card is (7, 8, King of Hearts) with position. Might be a good play from the small blind or big blind.

I mean, even with 50 violations, I doubt we get hammered because of the fact that the players, coaches, and ad that was in question are all gone now, I still think that maybe reduced scholarships and a one year bowl ban is probably all that will happen to us, hell that “covid” outbreak that cancelled our bowl game could be considered as the bowl ban

Healy is this morning. Sometime later this afternoon, it’s going to be Napier. We may end up circling back to Dykes if we don’t hear something by evening.

They're taking their time and getting it right.

Signing Day isn't even the milestone that you think it is. With all of the waivers and eligibility options, the transfer market is going to be the Wild West, and they have a lot longer to play that game than scrambling to sign a few 3 and 4 stars that don't even know what they're doing.

We will get it right, then we will get the guys, then we will get the wins, then we will go from there. Just relax, you're good, we're good.
