I can’t fathom we’d hire Clemson’s oc. He’s never been a head coach (obviously) and also it’s really hard to evaluate anyone in that position at Clemson as they’ve had so much taken to work with and played so few good teams. Chad Morris should be used as a cautionary tale here

Bullcrap! At least part of the rage about Schiano was how underwhelming he was for a program like UT. The reaction was, "You said you were going to get an elite coach and that's your guy????" If they hire another unproven coordinator or a Google coach, there will be a bigger backlash than there was when the Schiano news came out.

He may be a fall back plan but I can't see him being a priority. I think that Plowman and Boyd have said they wanted a HC but they have also given White the latitude to hire his own coach from all indications but like everything else that could change.

I think one needs to wonder, are they that good of coaches, or are they a product of being surrounded by 4 and 5 * players, like Pruitt was. Clemson has had star filled recruiting classes for quite a while. A QB like TL can make any coach look good.

I would rather have a proven HC.

He wouldn’t be my first choice but I would like the hire.

Plus it means Tee, Graham and Steele may remain on staff which is OK with me. They say Tee and Graham have been working hard this week for their alma mater keeping some players from hitting the portal. Alsi remember they accepted the salary reductions for Covid year when many of the other coaches did not. That’s a plus in my book.

Please don't. There's no reason to revolt this time if he is hired. He's a great Coach, Recruiter and person. If fans revot you know damn well the race card will be used by the media.
