Here is my point with Dabo and Saban.
Why does Saban let his assistants come and go and never really fights hard to keep them?
Why did Dabo get Clemson to pay both of his coordinators almost 2 mil?

Because Saban is an a$$hole. Dabo is quirky but he's genuinely a nice dude, especially to his coaches. Dabo just doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut sometimes, though.

Saban can identify coaches he can work with to fill openings. He's been doing it his whole career. There isn't just one or two people that can be his OC or D-Line coach. That is a talent that separates head coaches. Building and continuing to have a good staff.

And he may not want to be seen as an obstruction to one of his coaches moving up in their career. If a coach is good he will be targeted for better jobs. Saban knows this and accepts it.

I think if you look at the supporting cast that lsu had and what burrow did in the nfl with no OL and a nobody HC.... i think for me it’s safe to say burrow was a late bloomer and that’s not to take away from joe Brady. I think Elliot is definitely more “ready” to be a head coach... whatever that means.

If we hired joe Brady i would be very happy too just like i will with tony Elliot. I love the thought process in terms of hiring either one of them and quite frankly the balls on Danny white to be willing to go that route. If there one program that we should replicate ourself after its Clemson. I think they are most comparable to us in terms of structure/footprint.

You could say the same thing about your statement. Elliot has had far more opportunities than Chadwell, he just chose to stay at Clemson. You don’t get nfl interviews if you aren’t well regarded just in terms of football.

NFL interviews could be Rooney Rule related. Either way I would be elated if we hired him. He would probably help keep Simpson in state which would help keep the rest of the 22 instate class home.

I just saw Napier was added to the board of the AFCA Board of Trustees. Cutcliffe is a Vice President of that board. Cutcliffe recommended to Peyton to find someone like Kevin White and we hired his son. Probably would go a long way with NCAA to have the White Family leading AD and a member of the AFCA board of trustees as HC. Hard to death penalty that duo.

I think you are on to something. Maybe the information from the media and other places that Napier isn’t interested is smoke to cover up what is actually happening. Maybe he’s been the target and choice all along, and he gave the suggestion for White as AD.

Kiffin was too.young when he started his career, but still wins. He is one of the best play callers on offense. I would assume he has learned A LOT in the years since he left us.

He has a lot of energy, kids love him, good recruiter, great play callers. Exciting to watch. Pair this with great resources and I think he gets it done.

Elliot has never been HC and the question is can he handle all the responsibilities?

Kiffin has shown more times than not that he can’t handle the responsibilities of being a head coach. What does it say about him that’s he’s willing to do to ole miss exactly what he did to us before?

I’d like Elliot.. Tennessee has to get lucky, money in CFB is so nuts coaches aren’t leaving schools like the y used too.

1: offensive mind, play caller, and good recruiter.

I want to like Napier so bad but man that guy reminds me of Dooley from a personality aspect. I think he thinks he’s a lot bigger than he actually is. That scares me.
