I’m not giving O’Leary credit for Scott Frost’s one and only winning season in his coaching career.

He's got 5 seasons to his name, one of which was taking over an 0-12 team, one of which was going 13-0, and three at a place where no one wins anymore.

I'm not saying Frost is the answer but he's not a scrub, and you can't wave away what he did at UCF and pretend like he can't coach. Huepel isn't keeping up with the pace he set, either. Team is trending down now.

White didn't want to leave Orlando either. I hope White doesn't leave until either a contract or restraining order is signed if that's his guy

I mean to say he didn't want to leave may be a little much. If you take that first phone call youre open to entertaining the idea of something new. He probably knew he had about maxed out what he could do at UCF.

I'm now convinced it's gonna be Fleck.

I truly feel like if we didn't have this NCAA shi* we could get Campbell, Fickell, Kiffin, Freeze, or just about anyone else because we have the money and AD.

But I think a lot of coaches are A) disqualified because of past (Kiffin and Freeze) ... or B) Not wanting to deal with the unknown sanctions (Campbell, Fickell, etc.)

Iowa St’s fans cockiness to Campbell never leaving Ames is the exact same cockiness that Mississippi State fans had for Mullen and Memphis fans for John Calipari.

Not saying we get Campbell here, but they’re kidding themselves if they think he’s at a “destination job”

Dude. Has some parallels to the MSU/Mullen situation. Everyone down here was like “Why would Mullen leave? He has a top ten team coming back?” I was one of those people. I thought he had it made here.

Mullen jumped ship bc of resources and recruits. And probably the same reason that Spurrier left Florida -> ten years is a long time to be in one place in the coaching profession, especially once people forget what it was like before you got the job.

You forgot that 3-4 he put up this year. Lol. I dont think he's a bad coach, but I just dont think people here would be ready for BJ 2.0 after just 3 years.
New QB and went 3-3 in conference season. If I’m year 3 he has TN winning 11 games and Bailey/Salter graduates and we fall to a 7-5/8-5 type season you wouldn’t be happy?

I don’t know anything about Campbell other than his teams play above their heads. Don’t know if he’s an offensive guy, defensive guy. Don’t know how he recruits or where he’s from or anything.

And I kind of don’t even want to try and learn because I can’t quit Lane.

Bring me Lane, with Steele as DC, Lebby as OC. Bringing in Garner. Keeping Jay Graham.

Let’s talk ish to Kirby and Mullen and sing Rocky Top at the top of our lungs.

Someone posted the video of us going up 38-17 vs uga when Lane was here, and the team huddle jumping on the field while the crowd rocked the stadium and it just made me feel all sorts of ways.

I need that back in my life.
I have never and will never understand the weird cuckold fascination with Kiffin...he has literally never accomplished anything noteworthy as a head coach.

He is a really good offensive coach, and could win big at UT with a good defensive staff...see..no Hyperbole needed..

"Fleck's new deal, which is 65 percent guaranteed, starts at $4.6 million in 2020 -- an increase of $1 million -- with a $10 million buyout if he leaves after this season. The buyout drops to $4.5 million next season and to $3 million in 2021 and 2022."

Could get quite the pay bump and his buyout is reasonable.

The out of left field hire. I'm surprised he's not been mentioned more.
Offensive background too, seems like a guy who would love the challenge of Tennessee, proven track record of recruiting highly for where he’s at.
He’s be an elite hire only our idiotic fear of slogans from Butch turns people off.

I don't see White hiring Fleck because he isn't a lights out offense-minded guy. Based on White's track record the more I see a coach who has dominated at a smaller school getting the nod.

I said he is a good coach. All I said if "row the boat " is what you serve up the fans just 3 years after we were "brick by brick'n" it might be a hard sale to some fans. 😂

I get that...I would get behind Freeze..but I would hate myself for doing it..
That's how I feel about Kiffin. I can't stand the guy but I can see the excitement that he could generate around all aspects of the football program.

*Unfortunately, I don't think White is going to hire either one them.
