Kiffin is too big of a risk and there is bad blood.

Napier wants too much control and wants LSU.

Campbell is happy where he's at.

Fickell is staying up north.

Freeze is not going to fly with the NCAA on us.

Elliot doesn't have HC experience.

That leaves Brown, Satterfield, Leipold, Frost, Chadwell, and Fleck.

It's going to be Chadwell.

The search firm is more or less being used to bring confidentiality to the search. And to help keep leaks off forums and social media.

I must admit. I’m enjoying watching the media actually having to track down leads and terry to do some analysis. I get the feeling the days to getting texts from people inside the AD pushing agendas that matter are gonna be over for a little while.

Most of his hour 3 podcast was really pumping Elliott and made multiple mentions of his skin color.
I like Elliott I wouldn’t be upset if we settled on him. I agree with others I would want him to be a little further down the list than at the top but a lot of ppl in coaching circles seem to think he is a great coach and person. Also think you can understate how much it would help having a minority HC. I think a lot of mommas and daddies would love to send their kid to a program that is being run by someone who is a minority and is as successful and well rounded as Elliott.

It's going to be Chadwell and I'm fine with that. I'd also take Satterfield tbh.
Out of what's leftover the choice should be Fleck and it's not close. Best resume of the group.

O’Leary had four 10+ win seasons including 12-1 in 2013. He may have tanked it his last season (haven’t read about it) but even the season before that he went 9-4.

Sorry, but you can't give O'Leary much, if any, credit for Frost's 2017 season. Dude went 0-12 in 2015. Any goodwill he built up was gone once that happened. If that team had any semblance of a pulse they wouldn't have lost every game. That's a rebuild no matter how you spin it and no matter what they did a few seasons prior.

He’s still in Knoxville. Meeting team leaders this morning. Yesterday’s schedule was blown up by delays.

And he said he wouldn't start narrowing down his candidates from the world at large 'til after meeting with team. Nevertheless we have some posters insinuating they are in the know. I don't doubt many around him have their explicit preferences.

I’m not giving O’Leary credit for Scott Frost’s one and only winning season in his coaching career.

I'd be shocked if it's Kiffin but not surprised by freeze.

All along I've felt like Freeze was the obvious hire. He's likely going to get a shot at a big job eventually. If he can show he has his priorities straight then he could crush in an interview. He just has that twinkle in his eye.

Either he's:
A) a good guy that lost himself for awhile and hopefully has gotten back on track.
Or
B) a snake in the grass

I don't know the truth.

I hope White takes a long look at him. I think without the baggage he's the best hire we could make outside of Campbell/Kiffin. I think they're all 3 in a similar tier for me.

Look at this track record of building programs from ashes....

looks like Buffalo and WMU played each other in 2013 in Flecks first year. They could have met when his team was garbage then DW watch him build it 14/15 in conference then see his 2016 success from afar and track his career.

I’d say enough of a connection.
