Before it gets to crazy in here today guys I need some ankle sock recommendations. I wear a size 13 and socks stretch really easy and after a few wears they start to slip with me inside my shoe. Anybody got anything ? I know this is right up @nicksjuzunk ally , but I'm sure it will be a few days before he gets to this post.

I will give my 2 cents which is exactly what it is worth ….

Matt Campbell – Has turned down previous high paying opportunities already and looks to be waiting for the Michigan job which could very well open up next year.

Billy Napier – Solid option here. Has coached or recruited with a P5 program and will be interested to see how willing is he going to wait for a possible opening at LSU and head to Knoxville.

Luke Fickell – Another Midwest guy that could work but is coming from the defensive side of the house.

Tony Elliott – Another option here. Top of the list of coordinators with a proven past of offensive output and recruiting to generate that output.

Lane Kiffin – Past never leaves you and this is the case here. Public display from his side is happening and will continue, but at the end nothing but him gaining PR for the OM program and another increase in pay.

Jamey Chadwell – Young interesting option but his lack of experience coaching or recruiting at the P5 level will probably make him only a fallback option.

This program is going through NCAA issues and has not been very open/honest with the team over the recent past. I think our situation needs to be addressed from the inside out and the team is priority one. This is shown by his wanting the team to select leaders to step up. To address this, integrity is critical and mentioned or alluded to at his press conference numerous times.

That is why I think he opts for Elliott. Sure, he has not been a HC yet, but 3 of the last 4 we have hired have had HC experience and they all failed. Elliott has been thought to be a candidate for numerous jobs but the only one I think that he actually interviewed for was the one AD Danny White had in Orlando - and I think that is because of Danny White. They have a past relationship, he is offensive minded, a proven recruiter, high integrity, and loyal … Tony Elliott.

Or maybe only important nugs can be posted in that window. Better yet...can we just have have a thread where the only posts are any tweets, nugs from TOS, etc pertaining to the coaching search? Also, @Atlanta VOL, @99vawl, and @Stoerner Fumbles can only post in that thread when they bring any info.

Make a thread where only nugs can be copied and pasted. No discussion.

Plowman hired a search firm too and it honestly feels like she already had her guy. I think they're still putting on appearances for the legal battle to come with Pruitt. It's been less than a week since they announced his firing.

Good post and you may be exactly correct

I just think if what you said is completely correct her answer to that question yesterday would have been different

It doesn't have anything to do with Pruitt. Search firms are used for more than just finding candidates. They will discreetly reach out on your behalf and keep your hot board under the radar to fans and more importantly to other potential coaches.

Sort of the opposite of 2017, when everyone on planet Earth knew who we were interested in, all in real time. A

Not gonna lie, Curry frantically flying around the country and us having a new candidate every day was super entertaining.

Yeah, search firm can handle the negotiations too even after you pick your guy so that nothing "breaks" until you want it to or it's a done deal.

Logical. Not sure I agree with end result, but you make a solid case.👍

Now that’s something I haven’t heard they do

I’d assume once real negotiations start that’s between administrators and the agent
