I often think the same thing about conservative policy. Which means I think there's some truth to this going both ways. Politicians hold some views they think are dumb but are popular so they do very little work to achieve their stated aims but just enough to appease their base.

They both wanted trump gone as he was an outside.

I swear behind closed doors they are all laughing and joking and agreeing with who gets the next visible win.

All they care about is staying in power.

actually I acknowledged your point and specifically said it was legit. when i went on to say other viewpoints are also legit you reverted back to only your view is legit.

WRT violence today?

police state (ironic given the party's "defund the police" stance) and difference in how political views are expressed.

why do you think months of violence this year were excused when one day of violence was condemned?

do you think it was right wingers in Seattle continuing the violence today?

Not for the extreme notions, however those that supported trump were definitely on the wrong side of history.
