2008 Titans

oops! i stand corrected. I don't know why i was thinking the game was in Pittsburgh. I guess that gives them a little more chance, but after today I still can't see them beating a team like that.

Our best hope would be if we could capitalize on their team struggling to find it's identity on offense....but without haynesworth and KVB that's going to be very tough

No - those tools on CBS had it wrong - kept saying we were going to "da BURGH" next week and we didn't want none of that.

I knew there must have been some reason I thought that. Not 2 weeks ago me and some friends had talked about trying to get tickets and go to this game in Nashville. Oh well, maybe I'll get to a game next season.

If we do end up with the two seed I really hope that the AFC east champ / jets get upset by the 6 seed so that we get the broncos

well y'all we're officially ****ed,because Pittsburgh is homing in on the endzone

well, pittsburgh just won. that pretty much puts any hope of homefield to rest. there is no way in hell the titans will beat Pitt next week. the steelers have an awesome defense, and without haynesworth the steelers will run all over our depleted defense.

Pittsburgh will destroy the Titans next week. They are tougher, have a better defense and play like they want it more every single week. Not to mention their coach doesn't make bonehead decisions.

Wouldn't be a good way to go into the playoffs with 3 straight losses. Whatever happens next weekend, everything will be sowed up before the trip to Indy and you would think all the starters would be rested up for that game. A 3-game losing streak going into the playoffs isn't something you want so, next weekend is huge.

Yeah that's pretty much what I was saying in the Steelers thread. I don't really see the Titans winning again this season. They've got the best team in the AFC next week, then a red-hot Indy on the road, and then possibly a Jets team that already took them behind the woodshed once this season.

Go to bed bleedorange. The sun will come out tomorrow.

:) Haha. No way I'm going to bed yet, VN Live is at 9, that'll certainly brighten the mood. However, it has been a rough weekend. The BasketVols got run out of Philly yesterday, and then the Titans fiasco today.

Actually, it will be more of that the steelers will stop the run, and w/o haynes and KVB the titans won't really be able to exploit the lack of offensive identity the steelers have, so they'll move the ball better than they should

they dont really have a world-beater offense though

reading on the Titans board they seem to think it's some sort of MLC injury that Haynesworth has, and there is a chance he might be ready for the first playoff game. The MRI is scheduled for tommorrow, and we'll know for sure the extent of the injury then. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for good news, otherwise, it's likely we've seen Albert suit up for the Titans for the final time.

No, but it's better than the garbage the Titans run out there each week. 12 points vs. the Texans...

yeah the steelers offense isnt that great. Titans will have a tough time against their defense. If the titans need to get it together next week. If not they should just rest the starters vs indy. Its not likely steelers would lose to the browns.

Bironas was on the field ready to go as the cameras came back from commercial and then you saw the offense running onto the field. So, Bironas obviously thought he could hit it because he was on the field.

Bironas told Fisher during the pre-game warmups that his long FGs were being knocked down by the wind flow coming from the open roof. Based on that, Fisher determined before kickoff that they wouldn't be attemping any long ones from that side of the field.

Anyone else believe kerry collins is wearing down? He was sharp early this year, now he is looking as ragged as i remember. I hate to say it but we may need to put vince back in. Maybe his legs and renewed energy could help us out. At least throw some kind of package in there for teams to think about. Kerry is going to cost this team come playoff time.

Reality is setting in, the titans are about the third or fourth best team in the AFC. Lack of a deep threat and a QB not playing his best ball will cost this team probably their first playoff game.

Anyone else wondering why McCariens is still getting the nod? Jones seems to make some plays when given the chance, Justin blows up more plays than he makes.

Kerry has not looked good recently. I agree he is wearing down, older muscles don't work well in the cold sometimes.

Haynesworth will be a huge loss. After watching this team play yesterday I don't think this team will be in the Superbowl. Our defense is really suffering frm the injury bug where it matters most.

I agree losing Haynesworth is a big loss. Considering collins hasnt been playing well lately I think it may be time to see if Young can do it. I dont know thats the answer but something needs to be done. The offense just hasnt looked good. The Defense can only do so much.
