2008 Titans

Pathetic. Jeff Fisher ruined the Titan's home field advantage and at the same time guaranteed a loss in the playoffs immediately in the 2nd round. That would have never happened to Haynesworth with out the stupid call to throw for the end zone on 4th and 3 well with in field range. We have the best freakin' kicker in the league.

And people wonder why Fisher never gets the recognition he deserves. Well, dumbass calls like that will assist you in that.

Couldnt agree more. Idiotic. Plain and simple. Don't understand any reasoning with going for it. And then you leave Haynesworth out in the trenches because of it. Stupid Stupid Stupid!!!!!!! God I am pissed. Ruined our season.

I see Fisher's thought process in going for it their, but Biromas would have probably been money from their.

Please explain to me the thought process then, because I just don't see it. Throw a deep ball on 4th and 3 when you can kick a field goal to take the lead??? Where's the thought in that? Idiotic.

wow. just wow. thanks a lot fisher for single handedly choking away any hope the titans had of going to the super bowl. they lost home field advantage, and likely Haynesworth for several if not all the remaining games. what the hell was he thinking??? bironas has been consistently clutch year after year, and instead he puts the game in the hands of a QB and wide recievers who had struggled all game long.

I don't. Houston's offense had not done ANYTHING in the 4th quarter besides the long Johnson completion. They weren't going to drive 80 yards down the field on the Titan's when they can rush the passer not having to worry about the run.

Even Art Shell wouldn't have f'd that one up so badly. Very possibly one of the worst coaching decisions since Dick Jauron opted to kick off after winning the toss in overtime because he thought it was "too windy" to take the ball.

Retarded on all levels. I don't even care about anything else people did this game. I don't care about Finnegan's penalties. I care about Fisher being an absolute idiot.

On a lighter note, there is now a fist-shaped imprint in the wall here at my apartment. I don't recall ever being so angry about a football game.

I think he meant he understood the going for it on fourth and 3 in that situation since bironas is like only 1/1 on Fgs longer than 50 yards and the texans could have too much time to score or something.

But still, if you're going for it there...you dont throw it deep

Of course you don't, because all that other crap is irrelevant. At the end of the day, the Titans did their part, and were in position to win the game, but apparently Jeff Fisher wasn't aware that he had an All-Pro kicker on his sideline.

His defense had Schuab on lockdown all day, but I guess he figures that if the Titans get move the chains Houston will use their remaining 2 TO's and their would be an additional play. Their most likely would have been 40 seconds left with a 25-30 yard field goal.

Still, you must take the points in that situation.

Also, Andre Johnson was playing out of his mind. It may not justiy Fisher's decision, but you're screwed if Houston throws a bomb to Johnson because then the tables are turned.
