Yep, but being 80 something pages behind is a lot of work. LolAt least Volnation will be exciting the next week or two
Well the smart move has already been made and gives us options. They named an Interim and that gives us time to get an AD and that person to talk to candidates agents. If we can’t get interest in any decent options then the smart move is to let things play out with Steele and use the whole year to do things behind the scenes and avoid our typical media embarrassment from constant rejections.
Push comes to shove if much rather ride out a year with Steele than rush another hire. We all seen how that went when they panicked and hired Dooley instead of going with the interim for a year. I’d much rather lose one season than rush and be stuck with an underqualified coach for another 3 years again.
I mentioned last coaching search we should have hired Mike Leach and a solid DC. We need an offensive innovator that can take mid level talent and elevate it. I like OBrien particularly because the situation he was in at Penn State is similar to what we are going to encounter although not as bad. Hire him leave Steele as your DC and lay foundation for 2-3 years (at the max if we face any kind of punishment we could face—if that...we might get away with nothing since we cleaned house) and try to ride back to relevance.
Exactly. Its part of the divorce proceedings. My guess is (based on Plowman's tone) they will drag it out until the NCAA rules. At least I would do that. This is SOP. I don’t know how many of you have been around business dealings or contracts with large amounts of money. But every single one of you would be suing UT if you were Pruitt. Like posters have said, they will settle and move on.
Yes, if AV is correct on FU money coming to the table, it is hard to predict who that would be for.I'm rolling with @Kingzport I think we hire Herman.
But idk, AV says big money showing up. But I struggle to really believe that.
