I know we have all heard rumors about that and things going on in the hotel room on the recruiting trips, but had anybody officially confirmed specific as yet? Is this app still message board rumors and informed speculation?

If they are trying to get his buyout reduced, it will not matter where he coaches. I believe it was mentioned that his buyout from Auburn was 100% guaranteed.

I think that’s a good strategy, but he has to agree to it.

That'd be my only terms. If he wanted to know why, I'll refer him to his time at Tennessee. Take it or enjoy Ole Miss. If you take it, the university will give you what you want with staff and extras but until you grow roots here, this is the way.

Mayo has a nice future but to be blunt he’s only getting interviews due to the Rooney rule.
he’s a coordinators job away from getting a HC job. I hope he gets one this cycle

AV will push for candidates like Freeze and Kiffin. He’ll ‘like’ posts, and egg that narrative along, hoping to hype up the crowd to add pressure to the administration.

But looking at this objectively, I’d have a VERY hard time believing either of those will be serious candidates. Hope I’m wrong. But I don’t think there’s a remote chance. I also don’t disagree with the play by AV.

This past week a report came out highlighting that the biggest thing that came out of the investigation was a paintball game with recruits. I for one would like to get in touch with the company that provided the paintball experience and ask for the Nieds package. For that to get 10 people fired it had to be some intense sh!t!

You’re mixing up two stories. The paintball was a self report and not part of the investigation

If you watched the press conference, Plowman fired Pruitt because he was responsible for the actions of the assistants who were caught cheating. Nothing was tied to Pruitt in the investigation related to him cheating.

They got rid of the HC and AD they wanted gone, an assistant whose contract was expiring, a low-level assistant they could paper and a bunch of support staffers that were collateral damage. They were selective. There's a lot more that can come out. I'm glad Pruitt is gone, but some people better watch their back.

I don’t think the NCAA problems will be as bad as Low is saying. I bet we worked hand-in-hand every step of the way and got some assurances that we wouldn’t be crushed.

And at some point, the NCAA has to realize that you’re shooting yourself in the foot if you hammer schools that self-report/investigate.

Edit: I agree that a post-season ban next year is likely. Probably self-imposed.

I am guilty as anyone, so this message certainly applies to me. It is easy to get caught up in the message board fodder that surrounds our beloved UT. I have been as deep in this journey as the rest of you, but I encourage us to not lose sight of what really matters.

Let’s know how to live, not just be alive. Overcome fear through faith. Lend a hand to the helpless. Love the hateful. Praise the unworthy. Be grateful for what you do have, not what you wish you had. Most of all, know that Jesus loves each of you. If He can bear our punishment for a debt He did not owe because we had a debt we could not pay, we can love and forgive.

Yup. Even if national media blasts you, so what. You're job isn't to satisfy the national media. It's to make the people around the program satisfied. That's all that matters.
