Kiffin gets a lot out of his players, and he runs a fun offense. I like him. But he's not known for integrity and virtue.

Plowman would be crucified if she brings in Kiffin. When you plant the UT flag on the moral high ground, you have to defend it against scallawags and do-badders. This is not Bama. We're not Second Chance U.

Who cares about public perception. Just win

And he voluntarily breached the contract by his actions as the HC at the University of Tennessee.

no doubt. i'm just saying, normally in these situations there is usually an, albeit much smaller than 12.5 remaining amount, that is settled upon. 'Win-win'.

She wouldn’t be by us, just the talking heads. Which is fine with me, fan base is more important IMO in this situation. We’re the one buying gear, tickets, etc.

Do to Ole Miss what he did to us 😂

I doubt it’s serious. He just got a raise. Without looking I assume his buyout to Ole Miss if he were to leave is massive.

Don't quote me, but im not sure that he's signed his new deal. Also, someone stated $5 million. I'd pay that in a heartbeat.

That’s less than I thought. But it’s a real “fool me once” situation.

Him being willing to leave Ole Miss after one season is just further proof he hasn't changed and can’t be trusted.
If kiffin, I'd load his contract with an expensive buyout for him and less than average for us. Make the deal a five year too. Commit to him but make him commit to you just as harshly so other schools don't even think about calling.

This past week a report came out highlighting that the biggest thing that came out of the investigation was a paintball game with recruits. I for one would like to get in touch with the company that provided the paintball experience and ask for the Nieds package. For that to get 10 people fired it had to be some intense sh!t!

I think that’s a good strategy, but he has to agree to it.

I don’t think the NCAA problems will be as bad as Low is saying. I bet we worked hand-in-hand every step of the way and got some assurances that we wouldn’t be crushed.

And at some point, the NCAA has to realize that you’re shooting yourself in the foot if you hammer schools that self-report/investigate.

Edit: I agree that a post-season ban next year is likely. Probably self-imposed.
We basically handed it to them. Said look here’s what happened, we’re firing a dozen people over it.
One thing that’s changed recently with the NCAA is they really go after the dirty coaches hardest, and somewhat less on the schools.

Kiffin is a good coach, but can’t see it happening. They are going to hire someone who they believe can come in and re-establish the Tennessee way. Not the Alabama way, not the USC West way. Imho this points to Chadwell.

Someone a few days ago mentioned one of the vetted head coaches was fine w Steele as DC. We know coaches have been vetted, AV said as much. New AD can select the reigning national coach of the year that is also a Tennessee boy and has no personal ties to NCAA issues? Seems more than a plausible option.
