Things I'm happy about today

Four hours from here, but closer by far than any NC beach, go figure. You and I live an oddly-shaped state!
We do! I can be in the VA and SC mountains (maybe even some TN and GA ones) quicker than western most NC mountains. There are a lot of hikes we have not done because we couldn't do it in a day and back.

Have you been to table rock in South Carolina?

I was looking at flights just out of curiosity as they are now going to do a direct flight to Hawaii from Charlotte starting soon.
I told Tiffany since it's about a guarantee that we're getting on a plane for the first time to go to New Hampshire, that I'd want to go to Hawaii when she's better!

Yes. It's a witch of a hike. For some reason that one always gets us with not having enough water, and we pack more every time.
Friend of mine was talking about it recently, and I thought of you and wondered.

New Hampshire is beautiful. I want to go back since our days there were rainy.
First trip will likely be there and back to see a Dr. If he thinks, which is likely, surgery is necessary, then we'd have to go back for 10 days. She'd be in the hospital for 2-3 while I likely can't stay, so I'd probably walk around a lot😂

There are three state parks in that area right next to one another with Table Rock being one of them (all connected for some massive hiking), but they are definitely some of our favorites to get to at least once a year. Plus Kevin proposed at one of them.

That's awesome

Do you watch North woods Law? We'll watch an episode and be like we were in that area or we were so close, we could have seen that!

I have seen it a few times. I watched it like, "I'd definitely get arrested if I lived there"😂

that i forgot we've got beach trip booked this summer for fort morgan that will include son and his wife and soon-to be threesome. it will be same house the six of us shared in 2018, rebooked immediately for 2019 before pulling plug on trip because of covid.

Before the hurricane scoured it clean awhile ago, I enjoyed a vacation on Isle of Palms in an old beach cottage on stilts.

Most of the past 30 years, when I’ve stayed on the Atlantic coast, my lodging has been on the tidal marshes and visits to the beach have been day trips to the barrier islands.
