All this talk about Pruitt leaving and going straight to Alabama as their DC might be overlooking one important point. If the investigation reveals Pruitt is implicated then the likelihood of him getting a show cause order is significant. Granted with how slow the NCAA acts that show cause order may not be coming for a year but make no mistake that will be a consideration to whoever hires Pruitt post Tennessee. So in a sense Pruitt is not just fighting for his life as Tennessee head coach he is also fighting for his ability to coach anywhere in college in the near future.

And no I'm not against Free speech but seeking someone or their family out on twitter really makes this place look like it's full of mouth breathers

That’s kinda what I was thinking too. Look at Freeze, dude is still apparently blacklisted from the SEC. If some of what being said is true, and we fire him for cause, I don’t see how he’s coaching at Alabama or anywhere in the SEC next year.

I was never for sure he was coming back. I'm a know-nothng fan just like the rest of us. I just expected he would because the timeline of things don't make sense. I mean... you have to have an ugly investigation to find a reason to fire a coach after a 3-7 year full of blowout losses?

WGAS about reducing a buyout when you have booster willing to stroke a check?

Felt to me like they were going to keep him. And I'm not convinced he won't be our coach next year.

Mostly though, I've been trolling to make fun of the 50 out of the woodwork connected to the AD posters who feel compelled to share everything they know on an internet forum. And the gullible goobers who lap it up.

Fans aren’t the problem. It’s the Athletic Department’s for giving us **** for the last 15 years. If they would make it easy on themselves and just hire a no brainer, guess what, we would have a different tone right now.

Don’t ever blame fans when we are the ones still supporting this limp program. We have 3 ****** years and this investigation and everyone is still here.

I have and the toxic atmosphere shown from many fans is very much one of those things

Agree save for the faction of the fan base who use Twitter to talk **** to these kids or feel compelled to tell 17 year olds to not come here etc.

If you’re a fan who feels compelled to insult or attack a player because he makes a decision he thinks is best for him - then you’re a problem.

Fans going after players on social media (put lightly), is stupid. Which according to the post he quoted was the topic Swain was referring to.

If Swain said its not a good look for fans to go after players on social media because they are transferring out, he's 100% correct.

Having an issue with the AD and Admin over coaching hires is a different discussion.

And you're correct about Tennessee valley. Native people for many thousands of years thrived here, the amount of natural water and other resources made this area special.

I lived near one of the largest Mississippian settlements years ago. Close to the Narrows of the Harpeth. It was at one time the largest settlement in North America from what I'm told.

This is what Swain was respectfully commenting on yesterday. Enjoy the initial recruitment, it only happens once. When you step on campus though, it's time to work. That didn't happen with WM. Now it appears instead of just announcing like most players he has entered the portal, it appears he is wanting to relive the public recruiting experience. As Swain mentioned, until that switch flips, he will get the same results at any school.

Yes that's it. All around that area on private land there are burials on rock bluffs, have you been there? The remnants of the mound and city are really impressive once they point it out, not really easy to see the extent at first.

Yeah, Wanya seems to be be lacking something...maturity maybe?

The only other kids I ever see that keep tweeting it up about every little update are like the Last Chance U types. They seem to need that little bit of buzz/attention even for just a moment.

I have! Several times. I am friends with one of the guys that been doing fieldwork out there lately.
