Only line that was telling from what hubbs said was steele was and will be talking to defensive players...that should be pruitts job should it not?

Thanks for the information on the offensive line coach.. I get the feeling that Coach Pruitt will return for the 2021 season, and that is unfortunate from my point of view, I hope I'm wrong but just seems awfully quiet with no real way to discern what's happening, so that tends to make me feel that he is staying on for another year. I admit, haven't been able to follow what's going on, just know he was supposed to be interviewed today, etc.. Anyway, I'm a Vols fan no matter what and no matter who is coaching... I'm hitting the hay... Go Vols!

*UT needs to quit thinking so hard and hire Hugh Freeze. He's got the best chance of uniting the fanbase and generating excitement around the football program. If it's truly a "one more shot" hire, then I want it to be Freeze, with Steele as the DC. I really believe that's the best case scenario for the future of Tennessee football.

I hate when reporters say this is our last chance to get it right because I have zero faith we get it right. I just don't believe we have the proper people in place to care about football and make smart decisions. People talking up Plowman bring up the fact she spent time at Nebraska. Nebraska hasn't been relevant for a longer period of time than we have. I'm entirely convinced that she, Boyd, and Fulmer have already screwed this up by dragging out this investigation. Meanwhile, we have players deciding to leave and we're missing out on kids in the transfer portal. They have no idea what they're doing, let alone how to do it properly or intelligently. I think we end up FUBAR'ed. I really hate that our university is ran by incompetent imbeciles.

It's too quiet. A Friday 2pm conference sounds about right. Pruitt meets with team at 12pm. He lets the team know and we have a leak around 12:15. 12:30 they announce the conference

By AD I just mean Athletic department in general, boosters included.

The booster situation is one of our biggest problems. We don't have an AD. We have factions and the guy who has the title of AD has to work with and through them and they are often at war with one another. Alabama had this exact situation and eventually they reached a point of absolute desperation and the boosters finally surrendered money and most importantly, power. That is the only reason they landed Saban. Until our boostes and power players surrender their power to an actual AD and that AD is empowered to hire a big name we will continue to fail. Sadly, I have no faith in our boosters. I think the difference between them and the aforementioned Bama boosters is that ours don't care about winning. They have other issues on their minds. The Bama guys and the boys from Mississippi (both schools) are/were boosters that gave a damn about winning. As the Mississippi boys showed you don't need to be the wealthiest school if your power players give a damn -- even Arkansas boosters gave a damn.
