I think expecting Steele to win 6-7 games next season is way more reasonable than acting like Steele's first coaching stint when Family Matters was still on TV is still super relevant in 2021.

He is absolutely correct. And it's what most of us have been saying. We are either going to do what AL did or chose to be KY or Vanderbilt each year.

He's worth whatever it takes to get him here, if we truly think he's the guy that can beat Saban. I feel the same way about Chris Peterson, Lane Kiffin, and Hugh Freeze; it wouldn't take that much to get Kiffin or Freeze.

What Saban makes has nothing to do with it.

No..... I do not want him as our coach but that was 20 years ago..... he could have changed/grown as a coach since then.

Only place he would have left Tennessee for in 09 was Southern Cal. At the time Tennessee was still viewed as a top 10 job. Kiffin has stated this on numerous occasions.

My other biggest question is can he fit in the TN brand. And recruit the South. If I remember correctly hes a Midwest guy.
