And some see it as a way to rescue the party from what they see as a spiral further downwards. No more Trumps. No more Cruz' or Hawleys. Get back to core principles about fiscal conservatism. Less ideology, more practicality.
I think they are doomed in that effort. As is their party. Just too much racial resentment and 19th century demagoguery at the party's core to survive in the 21st century.
I'd say they feel the money drying up. Good luck getting rid of Citizen's United. That's the only place both parties are united.
Btw, the election was weird. I can't see how anybody who watched it that night didn't see how weird it was. Votes showing up through the night, effectively all for one side. It's not that crazy to imagine folks are pissed off about it.
No one said it did. But I found it interesting that you gloss over how native Americans were insurrectionist traitors way more than those idiots in DC ever thought about beingThat doesn't excuse the Trail of Tears man, come on.
Not to mention, we had been "cleansing" the US territories of Natives and stealing their lands since we first arrived.
Rupert Murdoch knows when a person is no longer useful and turns on them. At least that’s been his history.
