Three major concerns with Chadwell:

How does his offense translate to big boy ball?

Could he recruit well enough to get and keep us competitive?

Could he attract and command the staff needed at this level?

These are all fair concerns imo. No way to know for sure until somebody gives him a shot.

If we didn't have so much turmoil I would hope we were aiming higher. But seems like our situation is gonna be a tough sell to the big names. Eventually we're gonna luck our way into getting one of these hires right though.

Big name or not Chadwell could be a great hire. We're gonna have to let go of this idea that we're in control at some point and just try to enjoy football and hope for the best.

Alright, if it's Chadwell then someone please talk me into him being a solid candidate.
Because if you watch a lot of sports perhaps you noticed Coastal Carolina make it into March Madness tourney every so often only to get pitted against a #1 seed Duke or the like but you never payed much more attention than that to Coastal. Prolly didn’t think they even had a football team. Then all of the sudden you see them on National TV several times playing really good football of say to yourself, who in the world is their coach....
Doesn’t make him the top candidate but worthy of strong consideration...

Chadwell has that pretty boy swag. Confidence would not be an issue. Don’t grab a wife that fine without it. We need some of that JUICE. Tennessee football hasn’t had serious JUICE (a coach that can back up the swag with great coaching) since Kiffin. Bring on Chadwell. I’m all for it.

I would want to see his plan..... just bc they were with him at coastal does not make them bad coaches. I feel prejudging everything is part of our issue.
My concern is that none of them have done it at this level. They may be great teachers, but can they recruit at this level as well? That legitimately scares me.

That is just not true..... chadwell adjusts his offenses by talent he has..... everytime we hear about how a new innovative offense won’t work until it does..... he mixes the triple option with spread passing principles to be a very balanced team.... once teams start cheating to stop our run then we beat them over the top..
If that’s the case, then I’ll hold reservation. Tbh, I watched one game of CC and it was vs Liberty. I was solely going by the example play that video breakdown was given.

And with that, my son just told me Corradelle Patterson was the first person in history to drop the F bomb on Nickelodeon!!! Vols making records again!! Boom!

I'm well aware of the program, also well aware of the competition.

I'm also aware of where this program is, but that doesn't make it any less concerning to me that we haven't learned anything in a decade plus. The sad thing is had this program not been so completely mismanaged this guy would not even get serious consideration for this job.

What if Chadwell said he wanted to bring his guys from CC with him, from both sides of the ball?

I think it’s important that the next HC bring in his own guys, but this is a major hang up that I have with Chadwell and Liepold. I know Napier is in the same conference as Chadwell, but he’s been around and has a lot of connections in the coaching fraternity.

Recruiting is a worry but we still have a great college in the SEC.... some new energetic blood may be what we need.... forget all these retreads from other schools.

Chadwell actually has a personality. I think he’s similar to Bruce pearl. If Gump, Dooley, and butch can bring in NFL players.... absolutely no reason to think Chadwell or really anyone couldn’t do the same. Look how fast butch got our roster where we should’ve won the East
