Pruitt will stay at this point. It has dragged on so long that they might as well keep him. Pathetic.The sad part is we could have avoided all of this.
In early Nov. we could have pulled the plug on Pruitt and kept the investigation privately.
They could have dealt with the infractions and just reported violations as needed.
We might have missed on a few of the early signees. Oh well.
We could have then named a coach early Dec. salvage signing day and hire a staff.
Oh well.
If we get major sanctions and a mediocre hire i’ll be a casual Saturday viewer and that’s it. It’s not worth it anymoreHow much worse? NCAA sanctions and another Coach McGoogle worse? Is there any hope we'll ever be good again? It sure as hell doesn't feel like it. Need to get rid of all of the incompetent people that don't know what the hell they're doing.
No team that's winning will get busted for cheating, until they start losing .. when they start losing , they are no longer of value to ncaa.. Unless you beat Saban 2x in a row( you going down then)The worst part would be having absolutely nothing to show for the cheating. When other programs cheat, they seem to make it count. UT gets a Gator bowl victory?
I don’t care if he’s right, I hate that F’ing guy. He’s had it out for us since he did the Orange Pride hit piece for Urban back in 2009 to kneecap Kiffin.Thamel on Finebaum:
Finebaum: What is the end game?
- Looks like trying to sabotage own coach to save $12M;
- Long term - Pruitt doesn't survive
- This is what happens when you hire Fulmer as AD with no experience
- Very predictable.
Thamel: Have to decide - do we want Fulmer. New President has inherited a complex situation due to the extensions and raises with Pruitt and Fulmer. Tennessee is like the Saturday Night Live skit of the SEC. What is Tennessee doing? Clearly no direction. Whether its days weeks or months, cannot see a path where Pruitt survives this.
