Fisher would be a better hire than someone like Marrone.
No, he is very vocal on how comfortable his life after football filled with family time, hunting, fishing and traveling has been. No way he has the stamina and intensity to recruit 24/7 in the SEC. Would just be collecting a check here and be fired in 3 years.

No..maybe not, but I sure as hell didn't think we needed to burn it down to the ground. This mess is a great example of "be careful what you pitch a hissy fit for, because you may end up in a nightmare"

I had zero confidence they were going to get this right when they didn't fire him as soon as the season was over.

I personally earlier in the season did not want to fire Pruitt because I felt after the embarrassment of the last search we didn't need to jump so quickly on that carousel again, but it was apparent to anybody with a working brain that the situation had grown untenable thanks to his refusal to bench JG after Kentucky.

The fanbase as a whole may have felt uneasy about trashing a young man (rightly so) just trying to do his best and failing spectacularly, but they had no qualms about channeling and magnifying all that frustration and anger onto a dude making millions a year (rightfully so)

He needed to go at the end of the season...honorably..EVERYTHING that has happened since then is a inexcusable travesty, and for us a tragedy. Now we are looking at maybe the worst Tennessee season ever, and a nightmarish rebuilding period square in the face thanks to the admins inexcusable, and completely stupidly unnecessary bungling.
That's it exactly. And if the administration would have handled this professionally the fans would not have even been noticed because all fanbases spout off when their team is losing, take FL for example. Then they handled it so badly I just wanted them to come out and say they were keeping Pruitt and doing whatever they could to help him win even if that meant only being 3rd in the East for a while. My point is it's not the fans nor our wishes that is the problem. They are still ignoring our wishes while playing Game of Thrones as someone called it. Meanwhile we have lost any ground we gained since firing Butch.

I've said it and believe it even more that I suspect the administration is intentionally delaying this to limit transfers. Don't think that's wise if that's the case.
They are obviously afraid that they will have to play next season with a team of walkons and dregs of the depth chart. Once again, a pack of slimy bastard weasels.

I think UT Football is officially dead. I dont see how anyone will come here based on the 24/7 circus we have in the administration. Big boosters should have already stepped in and took care of this

It's going to be dead for another several years. It can come back, but it will be a long time.

It's getting to the point to where this has drug out for so long, and JP has been sh*t on so much, I'm about to have a change of heart and say F it, bring him back.. i'm over this crap..
If for some reason he comes back, I hope he wins 10-11 games next year and gives Phil and this admin the double birds as he walks out the door...
This has been going on since NOVEMBER!!! It is now JANUARY!! It's not a triple homicide..

After spending that much money, I feel pretty confident Pruitt will not be the coach moving forward

Something tells me we wasted all this time and money for nothing. The available coaches this off-season may not be there next year. Would have been a great opportunity for a new HC OR hiring talented assistants who can teach and recruit.

Feels like we when we finally get to the party they turning on the lights and telling everyone to leave.

2017 0-8 in SEC was worse, hair away from losing to GaTech and being 3-9

We're the drunk in the corner, passed out, pissing ourselves, with a penis drawn on our forehead
