I don’t see why this is so hard..... either the 3 win season was a good reason to move on or you feel the corona issues were the reason for the season and you feel the coach is moving in the direction so you keep him..... Either you protect him/the program over silly things like hotel rooms.

someone that coached for 30+ years, is out of the game?

i recall distinctly Fulmer's name being considered in NFL backintheday. Fulmer may not be Gruden or Belichick, but those dudes are propf that old school can still work.

Look, i'm not exactly in favor of a 100% I formation. But, sprinkled in, with some power or speed option plays, keeps a defense on its toes.

When Fulmer is gone people are def going to look back about how he was under appreciated.

Fulmer watching film with coaches is not a big deal at all. Owners and other ADs do it all the time. It’s really just a chance to connect without taking your coaches away from their jobs.

The Vols picked up a commitment from Virginia Tech quarterback Hendon Hooker on Thursday. Hooker has a skillset much more similar to Josh Dobbs and Kaidon Salter. He is tough to bring down and will give the Vols an added dimension to the offense. Hooker has known Jay Graham for a long time dating back to early high school. Graham has a great relationship with the staff at Dudley where Hooker played high school ball in Greensboro. Hooker also spoke to Pruitt and Weinke before pulling the trigger.

Our football program is hot garbage. Fulmer took AD after a complete and total **** show. Recall it was a joke in National news.

The last time we won anything meaningful was when he was at the helm.

All the other Johnny comes latelys have fizzled. So yeah, guess I trust that guy to make football decisions.

I can’t believe this further delay that is slowly killing our program. I’m going to have to step away because this is so frustrating. I’ll see you guys next week. Maybe by then they will have actually made a decision.

My sources say; The possibility is there, but the probability is he may or may not be interim. It's more likely that he won't eventually be HC at UT, but could end up being a HC at another school assuming the possibility that someone would want him for that position. Things are fluid and can change quckly or slowly depending on the "climate" of the situation........ Time will tell...... maybe.

so give them a cubicle and tell them to stay a while when we hire freeze and write up a contract that benefits the university and saves your own ass in case something does happen..

it’s not that hard.problem is...Fulmer and whoever else is chicken s**t over actually winning in the SEC!...these long time boosters and donors should demand a refund for this whole mess prolonging a situation that should have been dealt with WEEKS ago!...this university is starting to look like MTSU,Chattanooga and ETSU all in one.we are the flag ship state university and we are handling things like a first time cashier in a drive-thru.y’all have done got me started today😅🤦🏽‍♂️💆🏽‍♂️

Careful bud!...depending on who you ask that’s a very touchy subject...👀👀 but he was Campaigning for that job while Johnny was away riding a 4 game win streak.

I appreciate Fulmer, although I'm too young to remember the greatness of the 90s. However, the game had pretty clearly passed him by. Hiring a Xs and Os old school defensive head coach with little to no CEO skills is further evidence of that.
