I would be extremely underwhelmed, which just makes it more likely to happen. Not sure why so many of you would be happy with a Marrone hire. Guess Vol fans have been conditioned to accept mediocre, or less. Not sure Marrone even rises to the level of mediocre. It would be so disappointing when there are better coaches sitting out there. Coaches that have actual winning records. Marrone would just be a placeholder until the next coaching search in 2-3 years.

So depressing.

Random fact: Jimmy Brumbaugh was also fired at Syracuse by Doug Marrone. Before joining Marrone's staff at Syracuse, Brumbaugh was apart of Derek Dooley's staff at LA Tech. I know most of you won't care about this but I'm awake and bored.

No you're not addressing me, but I respect that Fulmer played here. I loved him as a coach until it became apparent the game had passed him by. I thought the university failed in the way they got rid of him. To me, that was a huge embarrassment and should have been handled better. But, of course, hindsight tells us "huge embarrassments" is what UT does well. But getting to my point, I don't think Fulmer makes a good AD. He could be a great ambassador for the school, but I just don't think he's qualified to be the Athletic Director. I've had reservations about it ever since he was named AD, but I hoped he would prove me wrong. I don't think he has.

Pretty sure Casey Alexander was in line to take over for Rick had he left for UCLA. I like Rick, and he’s a fine basketball coach. That doesn’t mean he’s worth the money he’s being paid. Three different coaches have led UT to a Sweet 16 over the past 15 years. That speaks to the kind of job this is. Lots of guys can win here.

So let me get this straight...you defend Pruitt, who we all know is ass. Then say Barnes isn’t worth the money? You realize how crazy that is?
