“Involved in the hiring” but the role is not a contract position. To me, Pruitt being there is a formality. It’s not like they said “Pruitt targeted a strength guy”
People keep saying this but honestly, why the hell not? The NCAA isn't going to do squat if we hire someone who has already been punished and served their time. It's up to us to keep him in line and that's true of anyone we hire. We are at the point where we are sanctioning ourselves by hiring crappy coaches (only now these crappy ones can't even manage to keep their noses clean). Might as well get a good coach while we're cheating.
He can’t hire anyone that requires a contract. The position that was filled is a no contract position, which means they are subject to being let go if/when a new hire is made.
