His stats are a lot different if you look at the ACC games. He had 6 tds and 5 ints in those games and a 63% completion rate. Like 40% of his rushing yards came in the OOC game vs Liberty.

6 vs 5 is misleading for a DT-QB, because he also added 8 rushing TDs in those games. 14 vs 5 overall is solid. He also threw for 9.1 ypa.

25% of his rushing yards vs Liberty, not 40%. But he only ran a significant number of times in 7 games. So each game, if evenly distributed, should account for 15%. 25% isn't that uneven and literally all P5 players boost their season stats vs lower level teams. But Liberty's defense was like a midlevel ACC defense, so I digress. He ran for 4.64 ypc vs conference opponents, very solid.

Yeah I totally agree. Not trying to downplay his accomplishments. He very much seems like somebody we might hire. And if so I'll be all in. I understand the upside.

Just think he's down the list a good ways for me. There are a bunch of names I would call before him. That being said he could potentially Pete Carrol this thing here. He was way down their list at the time too.

Pete Carrol was a NC winning head coach who had built an absolute steamroller of a program...Marrones name should never be uttered in the same breath as Carrol.
