Trump Supporters Gathering in D.C. - Mayor Readies for Those ‘Seeking Confrontation’

I know you're a smart guy. This is a public building so castle laws do not apply here. She was not armed. She posed no imminent danger. It was murder.

I follow the "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" philosophy. If the guy gave her a warning and she continued to advance I don't see how it's any different than some of the other cop shooting incidents we've seen where they weren't charged.

This got just personal. My dad chose Trump/Q/OAN over his grandchildren. He questioned my faith and salvation because I would not support the mob's choice to break into the Capitol. My family is not welcome until we "get right with the Lord."

I'm just numb right now.

She put her faith in Donald Trump and Qanon, decided to participate in a violent coup while Congress was performing their Constitutional duty to certify an election. I imagine sensible people in her life told her over and over again how idiotic her views were. Instead of listening to sensible people, she continued to listen to Donald Trump and Qanon. She was a dumbass, and died like one.

Don't be like her.
The one person I don't want to be like is YOU.

Sorry to hear that.

I truly don't see much issue with the shoot. She advanced toward security with their weapons drawn. She had to go thru a window that her friends had busted out because security had barricaded the doors. At some point you hold a person accountable for their life choices right?

Sure, I agree with that last bit to an extent. But I live in the America where police officers are indicted after being tackled and people trying to take their own guns from them, shooting suspects with guns pointed at them, shooting violent suspects who steal and deploy tasers, and shooting suspects who attack them with knives. I'm as pro-cop as you can be, this was a bad shoot.

I miss the good ole days when nobody talked about politics with friends and family. Alas here we are and the fight for who’s “right” won’t be pretty. Both sides are at fault to a degree but the lefts continual emotional s**t pot stirring brought things to a head.

I am going to use what happened in Nashville as an example here, so when the dems were rioting the state troopers blocked them from getting close to the state Capitol building they tried to break down barricades and get in there anyway. So going forward the next time the democrats riot and they get by those barricades I hope the troopers shoot and kill everyone of them.
No one got shot breaking down a barricade. She was commenting thru a busted out window trying to get to us senators.

Maybe you are too opinionated, and just like your dad. One of you needs to learn to shut up.

Still have to follow the law. The guy won't be charged, but he should be if we follow the law.

This was about protection. This is different than a traffic stop

So if an unarmed person enters your home you can't shoot them?

I don't think the home invasion analogy crosses over well with a public building. Of course the laws in the specific location would matter even in the home setting. (Castle Doctrine vs not, etc)

I think it works given the criteria he listed in his post for him to shoot someone. He claimed an unarmed person lacks the ability to threaten
