Multiple established media sources see the writing on the wall. Shameful to keep dragging this out for CJP, the players and our new recruits btw! We need to fire & hire in one afternoon so the new coach (Freeze) can get us rolling.

Said the player is very vocal on Twitter and did not do it with intent to get JP fired. But now power brokers are leveraging it to do just that.

Best to contain as much as possible and move swiftly toward a resolution.

Inside counsel gathered evidence and interviewed people months ago. Outside counsel has been reviewing evidence and re-interviewing those central to the investigation, authenticating findings and looking for inconsistencies. They'll make a recommendation and work with UT to finalize a strategy.

They have to fire him at this point even if it wasn't their plan initially.

Can't put the toothpaste back in the tube. My guess is it will be a long legal pissing-match and Pruitt will end up getting 75% or so of his buyout.

He did make them conference champs... Tied for 1st actually... With an 8-5 record. Now how crappy of a conference is it when 8-5 is your "champ"??

2009 Syracuse 4–8 T–7th
2010 Syracuse 8–5 4th
2011 Syracuse 5–7 T–7th
2012 Syracuse 8–5 T-1st

Need a WHOLE lot of convincing that Marrone is "the guy" for UT... He may be a great guy, I don't know, but he does absolutely nothing to erase the apathy built up over the last several years.

If we do the Vols have a chance to get the best replacement without even having to worry what everyone else does. I doubt they actually hire anyone they should but the chance is there

Outside of an Auburn win in year 1 and a 6 game run at the end of last year where we actually beat all the teams we should be beating, Pruitt’s situation has been nothing but a train wreck. He has absolutely nothing to hang his hat on in the way of progress.
