Trump Supporters Gathering in D.C. - Mayor Readies for Those ‘Seeking Confrontation’

If there was deadly force yesterday the crowd at the Capitol would be 10x larger today
consistent application of force over the last 10 years prevents yesterday from being an option.
Charge Area 51 wasn’t a problem because the military let it be known that they would kill anyone who tried it

I said it 6 months ago and I’ll say it now. Throwing bricks at cops in Chicago should have been met with deadly force. Forcing their way into government buildings and setting things on fire should have been met with deadly force. Attack on the capital should have been met with deadly force. Anyone attacking those situations should be assumed to have deadly intent and treated that way.
Yesterday could have been ugly if there was a nefarious plan. We were lucky there wasn’t one.

I would need a better definition of attack on a government building before I can agree.

She’s right. I will also add that most of us are to blame for the hate and division in this country. This is not just Trump or CNN’s fault. We have all sewn the seeds. Yesterday, the match was struck.

Will the media ever be held accountable or take any responsibility?

Yeah I’m sure it’ll be a slaughter when the overweight LARPers try to play militia.

Well, the good thing is when I play militia, I'm just too ****ing lazy to run around like I did 20 years ago.

Now, I just sit there, shoot, take another drag off my Winston and pop open a Coors Light and watch the fun unfold.

I agree that everything needs to be consistent when it comes to application of laws, but since that hasn't been happening if there was deadly force used yesterday it would have been seen as " the ruling class is killing the common man"

Because no Marine I know would start spouting off about shooting unarmed people. Especially their fellow Americans.

At least, I hope the US Military hasn't fallen that far yet.

Ehh, it's changed a lot from what I hear.

You’re most definitely correct.
We can’t just all the sudden get that serious

All we have heard from the left for the last six months is that no one deserves to die just because they are somewhere, or take something that does not belong to them. Why was she singled out and killed by the Capital police?
The left was wrong...... continue to be wrong..... she chose her fate just like Jacob Blake chose his.

Don't think so but if they were in the building they would likely step up. I think the narrative of random guy gunning down peaceful Trump supporters in the US Capitol falls flat. The people there get increased protection and not all wear uniforms and badges

Having dealt with them before, the only thing that matters to them is the "Principle." They could give a damn less about Pelosi or any other member of Congress until Pence was in a safe location. They'd literally watch as all 535 members of Congress were mowed down if it meant saving the Veep.

As for the narrative, it was a charged situation. How many times have we seen LEOs overreact in the past ten years?
