If Pruitt stays,

I'm assuming Neids and Tee are for sure gone. I'd hope Weinke is gone as well. Sounds like Ansley might be leaving? That's a lot of position coaches to fill with a coach on the hot seat. Woof.

HC - Pruitt
OC - Chaney
QB - ?
WR - ?
Rb - Graham
OL - ?
TE - Osovet

DC/DB - ?
DL - ?
ILB - ?
OLB - Felton

Fulmer is selfish and won’t allow himself to admit he was wrong about hiring Pruitt.

He’s a major problem right now.

Incredible that the Schianomo will probably end up costing us. If Schiano was a dud he might already be fired by now and Currie would have hired someone better than him or Pruitt. But instead we're struck with Skoal can and a stubborn Fulmer who will inevitably get fired and sever all ties to UT. DISASTER.

If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass on the ground when he hopped too.

But he didn't win, he does have a no mitigation clause and because he should be fired everyone does care about that stupid contract extension now.
now you got it. thanks for going on that little trip with me.;)

I think we've reached negativity bedrock. Anyone talking about being okay with keeping Pruitt would be saying the same thing if we hired a janitor to be our coach. "Anything can happen" so why are y'all being negative?

There's the people who enjoy baselessly hoping we are good more than the actual prospect of being good and then there is everyone else. And there's nothing you can do to sway the cult members short of canceling the football program.

If we field a team they will say this is our year. And when it's not it will be our year next year. Ad nauseum for eternity.

If Pruitt stays then F Tennessee football and Fulmer

More and more I'm convinced that this is gonna be a Texas situation and we're gonna fire and hire same day to avoid the embarrassment of last time.
Between the media and social media, I can see more and more programs doing this. Who would want every move made to be dissected? By the time you hire someone half the fanbase hates him because of what has been reported and repeated on SM. And everyone is disappointed unless you get one of 5 coaches everyone wants.

yep. we're on auto pilot at this point. lol.

im pretty much back where i was two weeks ago. he's coming back, we're getting a new staff, mostly. we'll see what happens, hopefully by the time spring rolls around we'll be back to a more normal schedule and can have a full, regular, and meaningful spring/summer/fall pre-season.

Yep.

We’ll go right back to hyping up this team during spring practice until regular season starts, then get embarrassed week after week during SEC play until we beat Vandy, then we’ll go right back to saying “Pruitt gets it”.

We’ve all seen this movie before.

If you're hoping Pruitt gets fired...one thing you got going for you, is the NCAA investigation is still ongoing. And there are some serious talks going on with the NCAA and Pruitt's staff.

i will stand firmly in the camp that says i don't want anything to come of that investigation, especially anything that could legitimately give reason to fire a head coach, with cause.

that's absolutely the worst case scenario.

What bugs me is digging into his contract & the amendments to it his signature isn't consistent at all, it's like a different person signed for him 3 times here (twice via Docu-sign so those match).

now you got it. thanks for going on that little trip with me.;)

So you're "not arguing with me" but you argued with me the whole time to agree to my point all along?

Thanks for tossing in the winky face to prove ya bested me in this well executed battle of wits... ;)

You are so good at answering questions. Do you have anything else for us?
You are so good at reading between the lines. You need info spoon feed to you, then you take said info and try to pass it off as if you actually know anything at all with definitive statements. Then when you’re called on it you say “well that’s what so in so said”. Here.....

Do you have any other questions that need answered? If not, go sit your silly self down.

Not sure Phillip Fulmer would be the best AD for Napier judging on his comments below.

Why Billy Napier keeps passing up Power 5 jobs

Well actually Fulmer has let JP run wild and do whatever he wants, treats people the way he wants, and doesn't have to do all the things most coaches are required to do because uncle Phil takes care of it for him.......... so YES, he could come in and do whatever he wants...

I mean not to argue because I know you are just trying to be optimistic, but the last full off-season we had, the players came out of it not knowing where to stand and we lost to Georgia State and BYU.

There's just no way of slicing this that doesn't end in mass incompetence. You can lock a monkey in a room with thermodynamics textbooks for 10 hours or 1000 hours but he's not gonna be any closer to building you a rocket. Practice time just isn't the issue.

If they wanted to fire him for performance, it would have been done a month ago. If they had clear cause, they would have set things in motion. Someone could write a check today. Or Boyd could decide to fire him tomorrow simply because he's had enough. Or legal could find damning evidence hidden in a backroom with the beer barrel. Or UT could throw caution to the wind, fire him and pay the buyout. Or UT could continue on the default path, because that has had significant support all along.
