Embarrassment of riches. I'd like to one day be able to say that about Tennessee.Stars don’t matter.....
Bama’s 2017 class... and how did they sign 29? 29!!!
7 - 5 stars
20 - rated 5.9 or higher
26 - 4 of 5 stars
It had:
Najee Harris
Alex Leatherwood
Jerry Jeudy
Dylan Moses
Jedrick Willis
Isaiah Buggs
Tua Tagovailoa
Xavier McKinney
LaBryan Ray
DeVonta Smith
Mac Jones
Henry Ruggs
Christopher Allen
Brian Robinson
Might have 9 first round picks in that class
No I didn’t study other programs but volquest talked about it a lot..... it doesn’t really matter what happened at other programs to be honest.... if our guys weren’t allowed to practice..... what kind of development/growth did we expect..... I went into this year thinking I wouldn’t hold it against our staff no matter the record bc of these intense challenges..... I deal with it at the youth/high school level.... I couldn’t imagine at the college level especially as significant a rebuild as we have..... that being said I feel the situation is now too toxic and I don’t see how he can succeed.
Not really. It's not up to us whether he stays or goes. If he's retained, comes back next year and coaches his ass off and makes this team competitive, people will re-embrace him. Recruits will be willing to come play for him. But he has to get it done on the field. This entire situation is of his own creation so I really do not understand the attempt to label fans as "unreasonable". It's not unreasonable to expect to win the games you're supposed to win. It's not unreasonable to be upset when you don't win the games you're supposed to win. I'm not mad we lost to Bama, UGA, or Florida this year. I'm mad that we lost to Arkansas, Kentucky, and Auburn. I'm mad that we kept going to JG even though his play absolutely warranted he be benched. I'm mad that we never learned how to cover a slant. I'm mad at any of a dozen incompetent coaching decisions Pruitt made. It's not unreasonable to expect to see some kind of progress in year 3, even with COVID restrictions. But we didn't see progress. We saw regression. We saw stagnation. Fans have every right to be upset by that. The very reason coaches command the salaries they do is because WE watch the games. We buy the merchandise. We invest in the product. As I said to Volton...it doesn't matter anymore. Pruitt is a dead man walking..
This looks more like a list of beliefs vs a list of facts... Lol
Kentucky did not have the problems we had with contact tracing at all..so quit bringing them up. We were all bitching and worrying about it every day of fall count because very few of anybody elses teams were being affected like we were..
This is a bad case of selective memory.
Halftime of the Georgia game seemed to me that things began to come unraveled. They played well at the beginning of the season.I want the "Covid super duper affected us more than anyone!" crowd to answer me one question: If we played Mizzou at the end of the season instead of the beginning, would we have won? And since the answer is obviously no, then how is that possible considering we were primarily impacted by Covid in the preseason?
Agreed. Which completely discredits this idea that our preseason Covid issues caused the pitiful season. They unraveled mid season and never recovered. I'm not seeing the causal link to pre-season Covid issues there.Halftime of the Georgia game seemed to me that things began to come unraveled. They played well at the beginning of the season.
