Just because he complained about it doesn’t make it true. Do you know enough about other teams to know if their players missed extensive time? I’m willing to listen to other points of view and change my opinion. However, if an argument is presented without data, it’s not very convincing. Cite your sources, it’s your argument to defend.
No I didn’t study other programs but volquest talked about it a lot..... it doesn’t really matter what happened at other programs to be honest.... if our guys weren’t allowed to practice..... what kind of development/growth did we expect..... I went into this year thinking I wouldn’t hold it against our staff no matter the record bc of these intense challenges..... I deal with it at the youth/high school level.... I couldn’t imagine at the college level especially as significant a rebuild as we have..... that being said I feel the situation is now too toxic and I don’t see how he can succeed.

I’ve not seen any data to back this up. If anyone were to show me some actual data to back this claim up, I would accept it.

What I do know for fact...

1. KY has been like a police state compared to TN when it comes to covid measures, and they still found a way to come into Neyland and whip our @$$. From what I’ve seen, it does not make sense that the flagship state university of TN would be sooo much stricter than the flagship state university of KY.

2. The covid excuse would make a whole lot more sense if we started out badly and got better as the season went on, but the opposite is true.

3. Even the VQ crew have acknowledged that Pruitt handled the covid situation poorly.
Kentucky did not have the problems we had with contact tracing at all..so quit bringing them up. We were all bitching and worrying about it every day of fall count because very few of anybody elses teams were being affected like we were..

This is a bad case of selective memory.

Its clear whats going on and what has been going on all along. Fulmer is determined to keep Pruitt so long as the investigation doesn't turn up something really bad. That of course is what we are waiting on to see. I don't think any bickering by the fan base is going cause Fulmer enough pressure to fire him before the investigation is completed. He is determined to keep Pruitt. What remains to be seen is whether Phil ends up survivng this, regardless of what happens because I think theres a decent chance he doesn't make the next hire regardless of when Pruitt is fired.

Posted where? Please legitimize your claim.
Just read it here months ago. I believe AV eluded to the same thing. Had something to do with “contact tracing” and how directly said player was in contact with someone that was positive. From what I recall, if someone in a room was positive, that whole room had to quarantine? Other schools and counties, just made people in “direct” contact quarantine.
Perhaps someone that lives in Knox Co can comment?!? @AlantaVol?

Clip is edited. Parts missing.
You didn’t hear the lead in question.
So it’s hard to actually judge what he is saying.

But the premise, I agree with 100%. You have to decide whose opinion matters. Make a list. It shouldn’t be a very long list.

Is it a fact? Or is it an excuse? I've not seen anything supporting that it's a fact, just some people opining it as fact.
It is a damn fact..hell you were here all summer..how do you not remember that? We were all here bitching about it because all the other conference teams were going full bore with no problems. We were worrying it was going to cause major problems and hoping it didn't

How do you guys not remember this is my question..it seems like it is selective memory loss caused by mass hatred of Pruitt.

I found it interesting in their last two games , that were there best, they had only 20 attempts from 3. Well under their average.
Yes but it’s cause they hit those early shots outside, spread the floor then they can play iso. If you don’t have athletes all over it’s tough to defend. At some pints they’ll have bad shooting nights, defenses will crowd the line and shut it down...

This is a bad case of selective memory.

Then it would make more sense if we started out badly, but the opposite was true. We started out strong and got progressively worse and worse and worse.

I get how this could hinder development, but we didn’t seem to get better as the year went on. I’ve said it before, I don’t think Pruitt gets as much criticism from the fans if he played the younger guys sooner. He could have said he was playing for the future in a throw away year. We wouldn’t be happy about the record but we wouldn’t be foaming at the mouth either.

It’s been stated and reported that this is out of Fulmers hands at this point. If they find what they want, there won’t be anything Fulmer can do.

@Bassmaster_Vol I’d like to apologize to you.

Ever since I mocked you for killing that 8pt and bragged that if I need meat I’d just kill a doe my season has sucked.

My freezer went out shortly after those post and ruined all my remaining deer meat.

I found my target buck dead.

my other buck pictures stopped

And I’ve gone 5-6 times in the last few week trying to get some meat and kill a few does and failed.

And as I left today there was a serious prospective buyer looking at my lease to buy it.

my season sucked balls and now I might lose my lease! Lol

I gave up the fight today and figured maybe a apology will reverse the course before next season!

Agreed on this as well.

I am pro-firing and as such I will be happy with that result, but the same ole Tennessee issues exist and will exist long past whenever the new hire is named.

But at the end of the day Pruitt hasn’t been successful and got busted cheating so this will be the result he deserves. Hopefully the next coach (and I’ve been tarred and feathered for my bad candidate lists) will be able to win in spite of the dysfunctional atmosphere above him. Butch was very close so I believe it can be done.
Not that it matters, but he got snitched on by folks wanting to root him out. Everybody cheats and everybody knows it.

That’s probably true, too, but he spent the last three years being a jerk behind the scenes and not cultivating relationships with those around him. You can only do that if you win.

It doesn't matter..Pruitt is going to get fired now or later because of this year, and none of the reasons why matter.

I am so sick of this endless chaos...

I can only speak for myself, but I wouldn’t feel nearly as angry if most of these losses were at least dogfights. I’m angry because most of them were blowouts. I’m angry because we were very near the bottom of the NCAA in every offensive category. I’m angry because the defense did not seem to help after halftime of the Georgia game. I’m angry because it is year 3 and Pruitt has nothing in the way of tangible progress to hang his hat on.

This looks more like a list of beliefs vs a list of facts... Lol
