1. He didn’t say “be positive all the time”. You are inferring quite a bit into the clip.

2. There are legitimately people in life, who their opinion should not “matter”. It doesn’t mean they don’t matter. It doesn’t mean what they are saying is completely wrong. It does mean not everyone gets a voice in your life. As a matter of fact, I would bet there are people who have negative opinions of you. Do they get to have great influence in your life and your decision making? Does their opinion “matter”?
💯🎯

Not it's just the truth and it's the truth that those people he is talking about don't like to hear.
If it isn’t your family or close friends, then you shouldn’t worry about what other people think about you or say to you. Don’t let other people’s sh!t get to ya

A win is a win, for sure. And maybe I’m just looking at things through the awfulness that was this season. But we shouldn’t celebrate wins vs teams that we should beat.

USCe, Vandy and Kentucky should be wins every year. Missouri could be a toss up, along with our cross division games. Florida and Georgia and Bama should be the only games that aren’t really competitive, at least for now anyways. Those are my ideal expectations.
I am celebrating any win we are able to ever get.

And like he said, it doesn't affect him because he understands exactly what you just said. But it affects these 18-22 year old young adults that have grown up with that.

Those expectations suck. We should be competitive and win games against Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Otherwise, we are failing.

We have never offered anybody the kind of money that A&M gave Jimbo. We don't know what would happen if we offered that to Stoops. I don't think you can offer that kind of money to Campbell even though he has been my #1 since last go round.

One good thing Fulmer has done is convinced the powers that be to invest more in the program. For example, the support staff has multiplied and training facilities were revamped. We had one of the highest paid S&C coaches in the country, but he didn’t stick around. I think we were operating on the cheap under Hamilton and Hart, and that’s a major reason why we are where we are. Now I’m coming to terms with the fact that it isn’t all about the money, these guys aren’t even taking the call because the place is a dysfunctional potentially career-crippling dumpster fire right now. Need program stabilizers and developers; O’Brien and Marrone fit the bill.

I like Campbell a lot too, but I went back and watched this year’s matchup with LLU, and it sure looked like Napier out-coached him in that one, FWIW.
