I truly don't see how we are going to win more than 6 games next year. This roster is pretty horrible outside Gray and TooToo and a few others.
Another one of those “I heard”s fictions trotted out as fact. That doesn’t even get brought to Boyd if Fulmer doesn’t bring it there. Fulmer took all the heat over the price tag, but when it’s looking like not that foolish an investment, the reds drag another narrative out their butt.FYI: Boyd is why Barnes stayed...Fulmer was ok with letting him walk.
I hope he balls the hell out too, always liked Ty and felt like he's never truly been given the lead back touches he deserves.A few weeks ago AP said to watch TY to Unc. Wants to go play for coach G
I know this not directed at me and I'm sure the Prof has a more inside perspective. This is just one old alumnus' perception. Look at the people who were President and UTK Chancellors (especially, Holt and Johnson) during Dickey's tenure. Those leaders were on the same page where it mattered and had the fortitude and finesse to "manage" the boosters. It wasn't perfect, but it was workable. Again, just my perception. How exactly was Doug Dickey able to keep all the boosters and admin people on the same page? I've heard that for years, but how exactly did he do it?
Was it because of the pre-existing reputation he had as a coach at Tennessee and Florida? If so, why doesn't Fulmer have the same effect? Fulmer was an even more successful coach than Dickey was, and has been a Tennessee lifer which Dickey was not.
I just went and looked that up, I was actually kinda surprised he averaged that many. Hes definitely better than fans gave him credit for and I think he's battled an ankle most of this season. I hope he balls out as well. Love seeing TN kids do wellI hope he balls the hell out too, always liked Ty and felt like he's never truly been given the lead back touches he deserves.
Now, I do think Gray is better. But Ty's had to split carries with Tim Jordan and hasn't gotten more than 135 in a single season, despite averaging 4.9 a carry for his career. So I say go to UNC and ball out Ty, thanks for giving your all while here.

Not to mention most of the people bringing this "fact" up, weren't sold on Barnes anyway.Another one of those “I heard”s fictions trotted out as fact. I was looking at Hermans staff at Texas. If he could bring Yurich and Ash with him that would be a home run. We all know about Yurich, but Ash has a solid resume as well. Culminating in being DC at Ohio St when they won the natty in 14
We didn’t have the off-season to develop/get young guys ready..... I feel we may have more talent then we realize if our off season is not shot again. That's my biggest frustration with this season - we didn't get a chance to see the younger guys play, so we have no idea how to judge them yet. Bailey looked okay, and so did Small in the limited samples we saw them. Baron and Hyatt held their own for the most part. However, I wanted to see more of Joseph, Eason, French, Lawrence, Wideman, Beckwith, etc. We really have no idea how good a roster, or not we may have.
