People like u is why we suck. You make jokes about it. Dude it isn’t a joke. Far from it. U make jokes about Tennessee. Like it’s funny. It isn’t funny to me. Nor will it ever Be. I used to travel from Nashville to Knoxville every weekend. That’s a lot of money. To see the Vols. Why is that funny? When we hire **** coaches. I mean I understand u probably don’t. And if u do you Can walk there. How about other fans hours away. ?? Is it fun or funny?

This guy losing it is way more interesting than the coaching non search.

It's your time to shine little buddy!

Seems like this investigation came about because we tried to cheat like Bama, only people can't keep their damn yaps shut. Bet you Bama does this exact same ****, but because everyone is dedicated to winning football, no one talks about it. Think about it. Pruitt and his staff didn't come up with this themselves. They learned it from the dark lord, but Saban knows how to run a tight ship, and the Bama admin makes sure it stays that way.

That’s a weird take on Gus...I mean even Dooley could recruit here, and of the names mentioned it seems like Gus is most likely to pull an “all star” staff.

I do agree Herman is the best first call.

Lol you see Auburn’s class even before Gus was fired?

Marrone being the choice if Butch didn't take the job in 2013 is very telling. If Pruitt were to be terminated in the next week or so I believe he is the guy. Would love to have Herman but if Fulmer is making the next hire I believe he goes with his comfort zone this time. Pruitt was a Dave Clawson type hire for Phil in that he went out of his area of trust. He will keep the next hire close to the vest risk wise. In his mind anyways. Marrone probably wants the job. Better situation roster wise than it was in 2013.

Lets play a game, VN, called "Would You Hire Him?" Since Freeze obviously isn't coming here when we fire Pruitt, we still need someone with an offensive mind IMO so allow me to introduce our contestant, Candidate A. Lets look at Candidate A's resume and see if you'd like it if we hired him.

HIS RESUME
From 2017 to 2020 his passing yards per game has gone - 398, 411, 465, and 475. A full 77 yards more per game in 4 years.
From 2017 to 2020 his average points per game has gone - 29.5, 31.1, 35.2, 42.5. A full 13 points more per game in 4 years.
Over those 4 seasons his team averages 25.77 PPG as compared to our dismal 22.5 PPG. For reference, in 2020, Candidate A averaged 42.5 PPG & we averaged 21.5 PPG. Awful.
Over the last 4 seasons his defense has averaged 27.6 PPG which is in line with our average of 27.2 PPG. Not mind-blowing, but also won't break our backs if we are scoring more than 21.5 PPG.
Recruiting wise he has consistently recruited in the Top 10 & even top 3 in 2018 & 2019.
As a HC his defense has never had a negative turnover margin. CJP? A negative turnover margin ever year of his tenure.
In his time as HC he has had 4 successful draft picks in the first round of the NFL draft & several others in the mid to late rounds. He is developing & churning out top tier NFL talent.

You might've guessed by now but Candidate A is none other than Coach Phillip Fulmer. Just kidding, its recently fired Texas coach Tom Herman. Think those numbers are impressive? I agree.
Hire him Tuesday night!
this is the way

The sin may be worse than you think. The culture more toxic than imagined.
can confirm the infractions have now turned from being focused solely on some assistant coaches and improper benefits to the being focused on that and the role the head coach played in that as well as other violations the head coach may have been involved in. the wheels are indeed turning and the tone of the investigation has completely changed as well.

This is what I was making reference to with the above post the other night. The sin being worse is who was involved. Guy is an idiot.

Hole in the head is right
No he’s really not. The investigation was under way for some time before it went public. What is happening now is an inevitable occurrence whether Pruitt won 3 or 10 games this season. If sanctions are incoming now, they would’ve been coming no matter what. Inevitable. So, if sanctions help us get rid of Pruitt with cause, then at least we save money in the process. Sanctions have not stopped MANY schools and there is plenty of recent evidence for this. I’m both basketball and football. Also, airing the laundry publicly did not stop Penn State and we won’t have anything near that. Fans need to stop being so scared. Hire the right guy - regardless of any incoming hurdles - and we will be on the come up in no time at all.

Sir you have sold me and I am ready to drink the Kool-Aid...let’s give him Steele to solidify the defensive side of the ball.

Yeah Bama boosters don’t post on message boards about paying players that’s a good start

Pretty good. But not your best work. I still like the ‘they could mess up a hot dog if handed a wiener and a bun’ better. Jmo tifwiw still proud of you Ole sport
Another good one is ”they could **** up a bowling ball.” Or an even better version is “they could **** up an anvil.” Always liked those.

So ol CM got the ball rolling on this investigation huh? Reckon he hosted Mims on a recruiting visit?

Bailey came to play for Pruitt according to dad.

So the fist bump from one CM to the other CM when Bailey took a sack against UF kinda seems even more fishy now.
