The state of Alabama, city of Tuscaloosa, and Bama campus have all “bought in”.
This includes all faculty, police, and media.
Bama football for them is their enormous cash cow and they protect it completely.
The same is not true for UT football.

Or maybe bought off. Wonder if their boosters make kickbacks to the local police?

This is about right. He goes .500 or thereabouts I just dont see the big money people letting Fulmer make the decision to keep him. The pressure will be too great.

There are all kinds of tricks universities can use to protect the eligibility of players. With all of UT’s resources, if someone has grades issues, im guessing someone really screwed up.

Tim Worley got an accountant degree at Georgia and didn’t attend the first class..... Back when I went to UT.... I had a class with Dale Carter..... he would always be outside my class listening to headphones when it started and ended..... he never once came inside the class.

I fully understand that, however how many coaches did they go through to find a successful one. Fire a coach that wins the division at 11-5 and goes to the conference championship a year before. That makes perfect sense.

I hope you’re right. I suspect the reason Pruitt is coming back is because Fulmer has dug his heels in on him, and Fulmer has too much support to be sent packing too. Same ole stuff that got him fired last time is plaguing him now.

TIFIW Rumors on TOS Pruitt was bullying academia into changing grades for players.

No idea if even remotely true.

On Basilio’s post game show after the A&M game he said that Pruitt had really pissed off some of the academic people at the university and that those people had been very vocal to Plowman about it. It’s not something that Pruitt should have to deal with or worry about, but I’ll be happy if it helps get him fired.
