I have to disagree on this. Washington is quoted as wanting to play together. They are friends. Also, Arik is good friends with Burton. We will just have to wait and see.

However, good coaches with good players still lose football games. Two example of this have happened in the last couple of bowl games. Clemson and Florida are good teams which looked very bad in their bowl games. Both have coaches and players that most everyone on who post on this board would have highly desire to have at Tennessee. These coaches are well established and have outstanding records, yet their teams sucked in their last bowl games.

The point is, we have not had the same quality of coaching or player that these to teams have and they still got blown away. Let's give our young coaches and players a little more time and support and then see if and when we need to change coaches/players. What we have done over the last 12 year has not worked.

I've seen reports on both sides, but if they wanted to play together they would have when each originally signed. Gilbert had every opportunity to stay in state and play for GA. Hopefully he ends up in Knoxville.

I'm not sure how Burton spent enough time anywhere in high school to make friends. I know he was at Marietta just a minute and never played with Gilbert there.

I don’t like Clemson but CDS is one hell of a coach and person. Fraud? Specifics? The man has shown for years his character. TN would be lucky to have such a fraud as you put it. Jealous much?

Here is one example of his hypocritical view of football. Let's see if he walks the walk and quits when college athletes get paid in the near future.

I’m going to assume you’ve never owned or ran a business? Some people no matter how hard they try just don’t go it. You have to cut those people loose to survive in business. And make no mistake about it, at the end of the day, college football is a business.

With UGA having Washington and now Bowers, it would be a weird fit. Maybe being that close to home is more important than fit to him. Just would be weird to me since Bowers seems to be the same mold as Gilbert.

LSU fans continue to complain about Kirby meddling with him so I think that says something, unless they are just shooting blind in frustration, which they may be.
